Everyone’s favorite mosquito voiced muscleman Kim Jong Kook, was in the hospital on the 26th to recieve a Lumbar Microdiscectomy which is an outpatient surgical procedure to relieve a herniated disk. In most cases a herniated disk is treated through medication and lifestyle changes, but Jong Kook’s condition must have been pretty advanced. The procedure was successful and due to the less invasive nature of the surgery, Jong Kook should be able to return to normal activity within a few weeks.
Doctors have recommended that Jong Kook rest and restrict his activities during his recovery, but knowing the exercise loving Jong Kook that might be a problem. It is not yet known how this will affect Jong Kook’s shooting schedule for the variety show Running Man. An aide to Jong Kook stated that although the hospital recommended no activities, Jong Kook is consulting with the producers of the show regarding his appearances.
