20141128_seoulbeats_jewelryVeteran K-pop act Jewelry, best known for their 2008 hit “One More Time” and being Seo In-young‘s old group, announced that they will be disbanding after fourteen years. While they did debut in 2001, Jewelry has undergone many member changes, with ten women having been part of the band from debut track “I Love You” to their last song in 2013 “Hot and Cold.”

Over the last fourteen years, Jewelry in its various forms has released six full albums, one repackaged album, one extended play, eight digital singles, and had one subunit, Jewelry S. Sadly, a lot of their work is pre-2009, so many international fans, myself included, are not familiar with their work. Still, they have a huge history, have launched many careers and won quite a few industry awards, most notably the 2008 Digital Disk Daesang for “One More Time.”

Members Semi and Baby J made the decision to leave Star Empire following the end of their contracts, while Yewon will remain, and the fate of Eunjung has yet to be announced. However, all four ladies got together for one last photoshoot, along with group breakout In-young and founding member Jung-ah. Thanks to all members for their hard work, and may success follow you into the future.
