As if Yonsama’s presence isn’t already milked to the very last drop, his latest book on Korea and all its beauty will be made into an eight-part documentary. That’s right. Eight parts. Yonsama feast indeedy. Chosun Ilbo reports,
The Korea Tourism Organization together with the Seoul, Gyeonggi, North Gyeongsang and South Jeolla local governments and Bae’s management agency KeyEast will be involved in the making of the eight-part film. The makers hope it will be aired throughout Asia.
Based on Bae’s book, it will feature cooking, traditional dress, craft and historic sites. The KTO expressed hopes that the documentary will help further attract foreign tourists including 10,000 Japanese by next year.
Well, that’s enough Bae Yong-joon to last me through several decades of the Hallyu wave.
