“Bias,” a term that is thrown around a lot in the K-pop blogosphere. But what does it actually mean and how does one go about selecting a bias? Since many readers found Lindsay’s “A Quick Guide to Choosing Your K-pop Bias” helpful, we’ve orchestrated a meticulously researched follow-up piece which was carefully crafted over the course of nearly a year.
The original piece was written almost exclusively from the point of view of a female fan seeking a male bias. This is simply because it happened to be the author’s area of expertise. But in the interest of gender equality, equal representation, and looking out for the other half, we present to you the same guide at no extra charge, this time from the perspective of a male fan seeking a female bias.
If you’re a heterosexual male, age twelve or older, who is into K-pop but is having trouble conforming to the age-old tradition of choosing a bias, we’ve broken down the process for you into three easy steps:
1) Choose a girl group with really hot members.
2) Choose the hottest member in the group.
3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you’re done. And believe me, you’ll know it when you’re done.
This guide is dedicated to guys gullible enough to think they need a guide to choose a bias (or dumb enough to think that they need to choose a bias at all). That’d be like women requiring a playbook to pick up guys.
