Following a hiatus spent in the US, Nicole has announced her return to the stage as a solo artist with an upcoming mini album entitled First Romance.
The news marks Nicole’s first foray as a soloist under her new agency B2M Entertainment (also home to Lee Hyori, Spica, and Eric Nam) following her decision to not renew her contract as a member of KARA earlier this year. Nicole has reportedly partnered with production team Sweetune on the album.
The mini-album will consist of 6 tracks, “Innocent” featuring Spica’s Kim Boa, “7-2-Misunderstanding” featuring Dongwoo of Infinite, “Joker” featuring Ricky of Teen Top, “Love”, and the title track “MAMA”, including an instrumental version of “MAMA”.
Two teaser videos have been released for her single, “MAMA”, the first featuring a heavily inked Nicole while the second depicts her dancing in dimly lit settings, contrasting with scenes of the singer in the same room against whitewashed walls.

The teasers certainly showcase a more sensual side to Nicole, from her breathy voiceovers to the glimpses of jazzy choreography we’re given. Watch the full music video when it drops on November 19!
