Who knew that the sweet looking girl in the blue dress would turn out to be the one and only Baddest Female <3
Also, Minkki baby is so adorable in her mini hip-hop outfit!

“Here’s a talentless band wearing bad clothes, now i’m going to list some american brands ‘jeremy scott’s judge dread jackets, gap, gap kids, baby gap, gap home, gap shoes, apple”
I could write for seoulbeats…FACT
mailgurl
Ralph just because you didn’t get enough love when you were a child doesn’t mean you have to be so angry at the world.
I have an idea why don’t you start your own blog and talk about your hatred for kpop on there…at least that way you could make some troll/friends just like yourself.#geniusidea

you come to seoulbeats…why? ._.
Gangland
No that’s just dara that hasn’t an once of musical talent :)
had_kendi
she does have musical talent, she can hit a note, but she’s just not the best compare to her other 3 members. She wouldn’t be chosen as one if she ‘s talentless.
Ralph
Well, you just said she wouldn’t have been chosen if she was talentless, and apparently she cannot even sing.
So what’s her talent? The only way these people can express themselves, again because of the labor division, is through singing and we all know that this group cannot sing.
Is their talent knitting.. shopping?
jo
You fail really hard, you know? Clearly they can sing. You must be deaf if you say they can’t.
ish …
i wonder what makes someone who hates kpop so much frequents a kpop news site, using many different names, solely for the purpose of bashing and belittling it and its fans. you must be really lonely sitting behind your computer out there with no one giving you any attention. why lead such a sad life? if you think kpop is crap and void of talent, why bother with it. it could be that you and your life is much crappier than those you belittle.
Ralph
Well, they couldn’t sing when someone turned off the music in a recent post on this site. I guess you were the person who said they were all suffering from career-long bronchitis which prevented them from not sounding like the average person talking.
I’m not lonely, I just find it interesting to see what sort of people idolise other humans as gods and sign up to the cult of celebrity. I don’t hate K-pop, I’m just surprised as a phenomenon it perpetuates on what is basically no talent.
ish …
Aww … i guess you’ve never ‘idolised’ anyone. for your information, to be a fan does not necessarily mean that one treats the artist as a deity. i don’t deny that there are fans who are like that … such as those who committed suicide when the artists committed suicide. but to generalise that every fan of kpop is like that is very presumptuous and narrow-minded of you. *sigh* you really have a sad life.
Ralph
Yes, my simplistic, non-idolatrous and non-materialistic life is so sad.
The fact these fans worship these idols, who in their eyes can do no wrong, regardless of their lack of creative influence.
Don’t you think there is an underlying sadness about all this K-poop nonsense when talentless people who have had their faces hacked into a state where they don’t recognise themselves are deified by apparently unsettled fans who commit suicide once their deity has given up on life?
K-pop isn’t about talent anyways, it’s about fantasy. K-Ajhussis fantasize about women acting like young girls (SNSD), South East Asians fantasize about being married to a Korean (k-dramas, Sandara Park), and Americans fantasize about being Born-again Koreans (that Bom person). It’s that simple, and lack of talent is secondary.
ish …
simplistic, non-idolatrous and non-materialistic life? aww … you’re such a saint. good for you. but your degrading view on kpop is your own self-righteous opinion. you are entitled to think that way just as fans are entitled to think they way they do.
Ralph
Come on ish, just admit it, you think my simplistic, non-idolatrous and non-materialistic life is sad. Whereas your life devoted to deifying ‘great talent’, licking your idol posters and generally waiting for a korean farmer to marry you is so much better.
At least I live in the real world.
ish …
oh … that explains it. you live in a world full of art, culture and literature which makes you think you have fine taste as opposed to us, fans of these ‘talentless’ kpop artists. now, i can’t contend with that, can i? anyways, i suggest you take your own advice and just stay in your own fine world. it’s you who first came to ‘our’ world and belittling and degrading us, not the other way around. speaking for myself, i find people who think they have superior understanding or taste of all those things like art or culture are hilariously deceitful. so, yes … i’ll stay in my world if you take your own advice.
ish …
yes … i do think your life is sad despite of how much saintly you want to make it sounds. and it’s much sadder when you think that people who are fans of artists are “devoted to deifying ‘great talent’, licking idol posters and generally waiting for a korean farmer to marry them”. you really need to move your butt away from behind your computer and get out of your hole … and see the real world.
Ralph
Using the word ‘Artist’ is a misnomer, as these people are in no way creative. My world is full of art, culture and literature, whereas your world is full of vanity chasing idolising-fans of talentless stage puppets and men wearing lady’s clothing.
I suggest you stay in your world, and I’ll stay in mine. It’s funny to see how ridiculous your world is though.
ish …

Ralph, tell me what’s your talent and we’ll judge. And no, you can’t write for seoulbeats.
Ralph
Well, we all have talents. The key here is attractiveness and popularity, because I suspect that you folks are associating yourself with these groups because you’re hoping their popularity will rub off on you, and you’ll be considered Korean or something.
Because of the division of labor in the music industry, these groups don’t manage themselves, they don’t write the songs or the music, they don’t do the choreography, they don’t do publicity or their twitter accounts. Their stylist tells them what to wear and when. They simply have to sing a little, which most of them fail at, and dance as instructed, which most of them fail at.
There is very little talent involved in this, and I fail to see how you all can say they have any expression of talent. Please explain, thanks.
JO
So much fail in your post. You have little facts to even back you up but I have facts to back up that within 2NE1, they have some say in their fashion, music, and choreo.
Ralph
They will have no say, and pretending they do shows how little you know about the music industry. They don’t even write their own twitters because of the effects than Jaebom writing his twitter had on his career. But you can keep believing they do, because they’re your idols and you worship them.
jo
You’re an idiot Ralph. There is no point in talking to someone who cannot prove their points.
ish …
yeah … we all have talents. and in your case, i guess you think you have great talent in being a critic? too bad that you can only showcase that great talent of yours here and not in some prestigious entertainment sites or magazines or on tv. at least those artists you’ve called talentless have made a name for themselves in this world. you?
Ralph
For you life is all about fame, regardless of what you’re famous for, or how empty or talentless that fame is.
Yes, you made that quite clear.
ish …
so? what’s wrong with fame? it comes with their job. they earned it whether you like it or not. if they are talentless like you, they wouldn’t have earned that fame right?
Ralph
Well, the interesting part of K-pop is that they are totally talentless and they are famous. Them earning it, is more about them being puppets to the entertainment company. They’re called artists but they have no creativity other than that expressed by the people in the background.
I fail to see how you find it so difficult to understand the irony in the cult of celebrity and K-pop.
It’s talentless people being idolised by mindless plebs, which is hilarious.
End of story.
ish …
well … i believe the talentless part is your opinion and not a fact or rather a widely acceptable fact since there are people who think like you. just because some of these artists don’t write their own songs, choreo their own dance etc does not make them talentless. no one’s perfect. those who can do everything themselves are a rarity. are you good in everything related to your type of job (if you even have a job)? if so, good for you. if not, you can apply what you said about these artists to yourself. the hilarious one is you who think you are above everyone … when you’re clearly not.
Ralph
Sorry, i cannot do that because I don’t do idolatry, deification of graven images or extreme-vanity (plastic surgery).
But an interesting suggestion all the same.
ish …
obviously, i meant for you to do it in the context of your job. i thought you’re smart enough to understand what i’m suggesting to you. sadly, i’m sooo mistaken about you.
JO
You would be a talentless and tasteless writer, Ralph. Don’t even start.
RoxyIsFerox
ahhahaha! i bet you must be a sone accusing 2ne1 wearing bad clothes.
also, not all artists who autotune are TALENTLESS. There is some girlgroup out there who initially did not need to rely on autotuning but so redundant in number, but could not be professional in stage performances and tv appearances.
Remember, there is no such thing as BAD CLOTHES, it depends on a person on how he/she can make clothes good or bad
You could NOT write for seoulbeats… THAT’S A FACT!
nicole
i love minji’s picture! she looks so cute.
nicole
so….why are you even here?
nicole
^ supposed to be directed towards ralph
Ralph
Why are you here? Wishing you were Korean and it was you wearing the jacket?
Jenn
Why don’t you answer her question instead of typing what goes in your mind. maybe you wish you were Korean.
nicole
nah, i’m already korean and the jackets are ugly. but i’m still wondering why you are here?
Ralph
We know you’re not korean, as you have a US passport and your family abandoned korea a long time ago, for a free market materialistic life. Now you’re back here hoping that some of the korean culture will rub off on you, because your idea of culture is overweightly sitting in a massive environment destroying car drinking a luke warm starbucks.
qer23t54u
you’re pathetic.. if you don’t like them, why do you keep coming back here? You just make yourself look like a fool commenting on every person who disagree on your views.. well guess what, why don’t you just make your own anti-kpop site and burst all your sentiments there?
Ralph
I’m not anti k-pop other than it makes korean and asian kids think they’re not attractive without having to have thousands of dollars worth of plastic surgery.
I didn’t realise that this blog was supposed to be biased towards massively positive emotional outpourings towards their idols.
I must be in the wrong place, I thought it was for balanced views.
FY
Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, Yea, damn, you think you cool , and fuck you, I’m out! ” . Don’t reply because I will not read” >> P.S: fuck mother you

It’s ok Ralph. Hang in there…you’ll get laid one day. Just stay off the computer and go interact with real people. Seeing how much you keep replying is just sad buddy.

There’s a lot of grey areas when it comes to Idols.

@Ralph,
While we understand your disgust towards K-pop, that K-pop is nothing but idolatry and baloney (which I sometimes think of, eventhough I’ve got some of my Kpop faves), but it’s not right to lash out at Seoulbeats and other K-pop blogsites just to bash Kpop artists, korean people and fans. Also, just because Kpop is nothing but talent factory, does not mean that ALL OF ITS ARTISTS ARE TALENTLESS.
Have you checked about Korean indie? Korean hiphop (sans YG-produced ones)? Korean rock? Korean ballad or even trot? I think it’s better if you make a careful observation of Korean music in general before you throw some generalization about Korean music industry, that nothing but a casting couch-infected artists in general (i think that happens in hollywood right? casting couch is alive and well there [i give credit charlize theron for that statement]), artists are nothing but manufactured etc…etc… I could understand if you criticize the mainstream music of Korea, which is now bombarded by the idols (yet, do not generalize all idols as well).
RoxyIsFerox
I also share the same hatred as you do. When I got to check The GrandNarrative, ExtraKorea, Brian of Jeollanamdo, that shone a light for me how shady Korean entertainment industry is. When I was totally judgemental on Korean music—after commenting on a blog (because I initially thought that the Pinoy blogger was ranting that OPM (Orig Pinoy Music) is shitty, it’s so unfair to make judgements on the emergence on P-Pop artists, as well as giving emphasis on the nonsensical training given by talent manufacturers of Korea—He replied back, clarifying my statements that what frustrates him is how the PPop music ended like, at how the music of Korean-Pinoy group Pointen resulted etc…etc…
That made me realize that it’s not right to infest Kpop blogsites just to bitch out at Kpoppers. It’s their love anyway, you have your own love. Do not force others to love what you love.
RoxyIsFerox
one thing I must note about you Ralph, is how you became repetitive with your points here. that will certainly NOT make you a qualified writer for Seoulbeats. Just start your own blog.
Ralph
To be honest, no I haven’t. Your comment makes a lot of sense though, and the casting couch is alive and well in the somewhat goebellian propaganda machine that is hollywood. Apart from jonny depp and john malchovich, I have little appreciation for the skill of american actors. I’m also originally from Europe, and we only have 20 koreans here (mainly in germany) and close to zero knowledge of korean things generally, so you have to forgive my ignorance when it comes to a lot of what you’re talking about. I don’t see any of that changing soon.
However, your comment is probably the most balanced and makes the most sense of all those I have read, thanks for taking the time.
I would also like to add that I don’t in any way want to write for seoulbeats. I was being facetious.
VanillaSalt
awww, they’re so cute as little kids :D
p.s. from looking at the comments, it looks like a cyber-war out there. u guys should get out more, go to a school dance or something. socialize.
