This week was witness to the debuts of Zhoumi with “Rewind,” Yoon Hyun-sang with “When Would It Be,” and D.Holic with “I Don’t Know.” The comeback list included 2AM with “Over the Destiny” and “Days Like Today,” Hong Jin-young with “Cheer Up,” Laboum with “What About You,” Legend with “Lost,” and A.Cian with “Ouch.” Beast snagged the trophies at Music Core, Music Bank, Inkigayo, and Show Champion. M!Countdown, which aired past performances as part of a “Halloween Special,” crowned Epik High as this week’s winner.

The context in which I usually mention VIXX has always been enthusiastic fans. Nothing quite screams wow in “Error” irrespective of the boys’ flawless stage performances but the fans, with their banners and their fan chants, who make this performance worth a watch. And I am not the only who thinks so; the cameraman seems to share my sentiments.

BTS has developed an affinity for extremely problematic lyrics and extremely entertaining stage performances. These are the times when I am glad that my knowledge of the Korean language is rather limited because I can enjoy their performances albeit temporarily to the fullest. J-Hope‘s aegyo explosion only adds to the fun.

I have never heard of this group, but their performance of “Ouch” has been captivating and energetic across all music shows. There is a short boxing sequence in between for some unknown reason, but it fits in well with the choreography.

This song has baffled me since its release. I don’t know how to feel about it. On one level, I feel it is supposed to be funny, but just look at their serious faces in this performanc,e and you’ll think twice about “Rilla Go” being funny. Be the shocking blue hair or the questionable costumes, this performance of DGNA leaves you feeling…a bit confused.

This episode of Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook is amazing in its entirety. I would suggest that you watch the whole episode for even more fantastic performances by Seo Taiji and The Barbarettes.
It’s Seo Taiji. Of course, he is going to perform brilliantly especially a song as interesting as “90s Icon.” Keep an eye out for the accompanists. They seem to be quite engrossed in the performance themselves.
