Dear readers,

Thanks to your generous support when we launched our Patreon back in November 2020, Seoulbeats has been able to move away from Patreon to an annual fundraiser starting this year.

For over 14 years, our team of editors and writers have poured their blood, sweat, and tears–okay, maybe just the latter two–into more than 11,000 articles appreciating and critiquing K-pop. We’ve documented the history of K-pop, puzzled over emerging trends, dived into literary allusions in MVs and albums, and uncovered the courage that artists show in writing their most vulnerable sides into their music.

This month, as we celebrate our anniversary, we seek your support to keep Seoulbeats going. If you’ve found meaning or enjoyment in our articles, please consider making a one-time donation of $3 or more to our Ko-fi here: ko-fi.com/seoulbeats.

Seoulbeats is run by a team of volunteer fans, and your donations will go towards paying for our server and other site maintenance costs. With your support, we hope to keep this safe, diverse space for discussing Korean entertainment going for many more years to come.

Sincerely,
Qing (Managing Editor)
On behalf of the Seoulbeats team
