For Your Viewing Pleasure: Step into the Light

Welcome back to another instalment of For Your Viewing Pleasure, where we take time out of the week to curate a set of photos from the K-pop landscape.

The fluid interplay of shadows and spotlights influences the mood and meaning captured through a photographer’s lens. In this set of pictures, creative lighting choices guide the viewer’s eye towards different elements of each look. The camera lingers on the gilded hoop earrings worn by actress Kim Ji-won, framing her face with a golden glow. In contrast, KARD‘s boldly patterned outfits are blurred and softened to create a dazzling, dreamlike effect. A special mention must go to the concept photos for BTS’ anthology album Proof.
