Welcome back to another instalment of For Your Viewing Pleasure, where we take time out of the week to curate a set of photos from the K-pop landscape.

A photoshoot needs an effective photographer, of course, but the model plays an equally crucial role, being the face actually attached to the images. The emotion a model conveys impacts the overall story of the photoshoot. As August draws to an end, this collection echoes the hopefulness of the northern hemisphere for cooler weather but with a glimmer of summertime nostalgia. The backgrounds are kept to a minimum, such as the pink wall and green branches for Shinee‘s Minho or the monochrome palette for Le Sserafim‘s Chaewon, Jo Yuri, and Kwon Nara. With a lack of “stuff” in the frame, the subjects ensure their bodies and eye contact (or lack of) capture the full attention of viewers.
