Welcome back to another installment of Best of Weekly Music Shows! This week featured an amazing week of comebacks including Monsta X, EXID, Block B, and Seventeen; we were really in for a treat! Massive congratulations to Twice, who took home all the wins from MBC Show Champion, Mnet M! Countdown, KBS Music Bank, and SBS Inkigayo.

Without further ado, here were some of our favourite stages of the week!

Monsta X’s “Dramarama”, KBS Music Bank, November 10, 2017

Monsta X’s comeback with “Dramarama” has seriously been impressive, from the catchy song to the sharp and intricate choreography. The members looked particularly sleek in this stage, all decked out in various styles of black and red to put on a truly charismatic performance. Although Wonho was unable to join the group for their comeback showcase due to health issues, he was thankfully able to recover quickly and participate in the rest of their promotions!

Super Junior’s “Black Suit”, Mnet M! Countdown, November 9, 2017

Even with only a handful of members back for this comeback, Super Junior had a great stage. The group is clearly an older and more mature one, and their song and stage really suit this new, classier vibe. Aside from some of the atrocities in styling (I’m looking at you and your hair, Yesung), they did look stylish with their suits. All in all, it’s so heartwarming to hear such loud fan chants from ELFs to welcome the group back on stage!

Block B’s “Shall We Dance”, SBS Inkigayo, November 12, 2017

It seems like Super Junior isn’t the only group with problematic hair, some members of Block B also have extremely questionable styles, namely U-Kwon’s purple braids and Park Kyung’s mullet. Nevertheless, the group has made a very strong comeback with the quirky but catchy “Shall We Dance”.  Their charismatic and confident stage presence clearly revealed their experience in the industry. I generally avoid using this word, but they really were full of swag.

Seventeen’s “Clap”, KBS Music Bank, November 10, 2017

Seventeen continues to amaze me with how all their comebacks can be so varied yet still have that distinct Seventeen sound. Their sharp, synchronised choreography definitely steals the show as they fluently navigate their way around the stage even with thirteen members. I love how they manage to add in a quirky touch to each stage with Wonwoo choosing someone new every time to clap with him during his part — it’s these small things that make their stages so unique and fun to watch!

EXID’s “DDD”, KBS Music Bank, November 10, 2017

EXID killed it on stage with “DDD”. Although Solji will not be joining their comeback promotions, the rest of the four members proved that they could hold their own with their amazing stage presence. The styling for this stage is probably the best out of all their performances this week, with their simple and sleek black-and-white outfits adding a sultry vibe to the overall stage.
