KARA recently appeared on NTV’s Record Hits where they played games and promoted their new album “Girl’s Talk.” The K-pop Invasion was also a topic of interest for the hosts and several clips of crossover idols were shown. Despite their solo success in Japan, I doubt KARA will ever escape being grouped in with the rest of the idol groups who’ve debuted in J-pop. I know most of these groups have entered the J-pop market for the same reason ($$$), but it must feel like graduating from school and constantly being referred to as the (insert college) graduate.
KARA’s album did pretty well on the charts actually. They ranked #2 on the Daily Oricon Chart, after Hikaru Utada, selling over 36, 000 copies.
