  • Aespa‘s Winter underwent surgery for a collapsed lung and will be taking a break from activities while she recovers.
  • The 1st Asia Star Entertainment Awards were held this week with Stray Kids taking home the daesang and album of the year. TXT was crowned best artist, and Jungkook‘s “Seven” won best song.

Teasers & Announcements

  • BoyNextDoor donned school uniforms in the teaser images for “Earth, Wind & Fire,” out on April 15.
  • Loosemble continued to release concept photos as well as track previews for their April 15 mini, One of a Kind.
  • Onewe shared individual image teasers for Planet Nine: Isotropy, set for release on April 17.
  • Riize logged their days in Libson leading up to the April 18 pre-release “Impossible.”
    • The group’s first mini Riizing will be out in June.
  • Doyoung of NCT shared the track list for his first solo album Youth on April 22, featuring a duet track with labelmate Taeyeon.
  • Yuqi ((G) I-dle) dropped the track list, concept trailer, and a series of teaser photos for her April 23 solo mini Yuq1.
  • Also back on the 23rd will be Lee Jin Hyuk with New Quest: Jungle.
  • Ahead of Zerobaseone‘s May 13 return with You Had Me at Hello, the pre-release “Sweat” will be out on April 24.
  • IVE put out the comeback schedule for Ive Switch, out on April 29.
  • Xdinary Heros released the comeback teaser for their April 30 return with Troubleshooting.
  • Solar will return on April 30 with her new mini album, Colors.
  • Younite will drop Another on May 1.
  • Hyuna will be back on May 2 with her first mini album since moving to AT AREA titled “Attitude.”
  • D.O. will make a comeback with Blossom and the lead single “Mars” on May 7.

Other News

  • Lisa (BlackPink) signed with RCA with plans to release her first solo album.
  • Hyein will be taking a break from NewJeans activities as she recovers from a hairline fracture on her foot.
  • Key and Minho have renewed their contracts with SM Entertainment. Though Taemin and Onew have chosen to leave the label for solo activities, Shinee will continue to do group activities under SM.
  • Singer Park Bo-ram died at the age of 30. The cause of death is still unknown, and police are investigating.
  •  EDAM Entertainment released an apology for the recent issues some fans have had with purchasing tickets to IU‘s world tour. In an effort to prevent resellers and proxies, the company accidentally cancelled legitimately bought tickets and blocked some fans from fan club membership.
  • Renjun will temporarily sit out NCT Dream activities for health reasons.
