As Dolly Parton once said: Working nine to five; what a way to make a living. And yet, like most adults, I have one. Bills need paying, food needs buying, and the self needs caring, so five days a week I tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen.
Sometimes, though, Dolly was optimistic. I work in a cyclical field, so sometimes I get some reading done on the clock, and sometimes I work 6 days a week for two months because it’s busy and we’re a skeleton crew where the skeleton is missing pieces. And when the exhaustion and overwork sets in, this playlist is where I turn. Sometimes commiserating, sometimes motivating, sometimes not caring, but always something that helps Friday come just a bit faster.
