Today is Thanksgiving in the United States. It’s… not my favorite holiday, I’ll be honest. The reality of Thanksgiving is a meal with a menu that remains unchanged from time immemorial served at a horrendously inconvenient time. The theory is nice, though– a day to take stock of what you have and be thankful for the good things in your life.

To celebrate, I’ve collected a list of K-pop songs that I’m grateful for. There are a variety of reasons songs could end up here. Some broke artists through to the mainstream, some broke K-pop through. Some are rarities of subject and others of genre, and some are simply fantastic pieces of music. But these songs are songs that I am always happy to have exist in the world, and this seems as good a day as any to make note of them.

Are there any K-pop songs you’re particularly thankful for? Leave them in the comments!
