Welcome back to another episode of Buzzbeats.
With the passing of March’s National Women’s History Month and now April being National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the rise of #MeToo in Korea, it seemed like a good time to have a Buzzbeats focused on women within the entertainment industry in Korea. Even though K-pop seems to have a more dominant focus on males in general, but it isn’t all about them. So for now, we have shifted our focus to the women who entertain, inspire, and ultimately, we respect.
For this podcast, I am joined by Lo, Jennifer, and Cjontai. We talk about BoA, Lee Hyori, f(x), EXID, Sunmi, Song Ji-hyo, and many others females who fit the the points above. We also touch on female groups that has disbanded and would love to see comeback.
I must apologize again for the audio quality. I am convinced that my microphone (or recording program) hates me for there were no abnormalities in audio that was recorded earlier in the day. It has been edited to the best of my ability and it does not take away from the topic at hand, so I hope you will be able to enjoy it, despite my blunder.
Definitely pushing for Buzzbeats to be bi-monthly. So please look out for that soon and see you on the next episode!
