Welcome back to Best of Weekly Music Shows! We’re almost through a third of the year, which means more comebacks! Delivering new music to the shows are Eric Nam, EXO-CBX, Super Junior, Heo Young Saeng, and Twice. Of course, we can’t forget about the debuts of UNB, Yoo Seonho, and Hyeongseop X Euiwoong. Whether you’re looking for new faves or stanning the more seasoned idols, chances are that you could find someone who peaked your interest.
Winner lived up to their name with victories on Mnet M! Countdown, KBS Show! Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo. EXID earned their first trophy for “Lady” on SBS The Show, and Wanna One grabbed another win on KBS Music Bank. Congrats to everyone!
This past week’s lineup was a feast for the ears, and I was hungry for these stages. I’m especially thankful for the special episode of Music Bank filmed in Chile since a couple of my favorite performances came from there. If you’d like to share your picks, go ahead and comment below with them. Someone else might like your list, too.

EXO-CBX’s “Blooming Day”, SBS Inkigayo, April 15, 2018
I can’t find a flaw here, which is quite annoying. However, it also shows how much work EXO-CBX put into this comeback. If you’re going to return, do it with style and flair. The fashion isn’t bad, and they have more than enough flair to spare. All of this equates to a great performance.
UNB’s “Feeling”, Mnet M! Countdown, April 12, 2018
It’s a little weird calling this a debut for the simple fact that this group is comprised of experienced members. Naturally, that means their skills reflect this. Us fans reap the benefits because we get to see all this talent we’ve been sleeping on. The dance break and formations at the end are the highlights of this stage.
Taemin‘s cover of Luis Fonsi‘s “Despacito”, KBS Music Bank, April 11, 2018
I love hearing idols sing in languages other than Korean, English, or Japanese. It’s so mind-blowing to watch Taemin sing in Spanish. He sounds really good, and I like that he kept the performance low-key in his denim outfit. This casual approach draws focus to his voice without the distraction of an elaborate stage or complicated choreo.
VIXX‘s cover of Camila Cabello‘s “Havana”, KBS Music Bank, April 11, 2018
This is one of those moments in life when you get something you never knew you wanted. The stylists are clearly sadists because they dressed them in these red velvet (no pun intended) shirts with these black slacks. They look like the world’s most attractive tango instructors. It also doesn’t hurt that the choreo is some of the most sensual that VIXX has ever done.

Super Junior’s “Lo Siento” featuring KARD, KBS Music Bank, April 13, 2018
There’s so much here I absolutely love. I love the colorful set. I love their outfits. I love seeing Somin and Jiwoo of KARD performing together with the group. The girls keep up with Super Junior, an admirable feat given how intense certain moves were. That dance break in the middle is by far my favorite part.
