Serious News

  • Horan of Clazziquai was caught drunk driving. All her activities have been suspended for the time being.
  • At the start of the week, it was revealed that Jung Joon-young had been accused of sexual assault by his ex-girlfriend back in August. The singer was also accused of secretly filming a sexual encounter between himself and the woman.  On the 25th, the same woman filed a petition to withdraw the charges. However, the media storm has prompted a public apology and Jung’s removal from 2 Days & 1 Night.

Debuts & Comebacks

  • A Pink love those soft focus aesthetics in the MV for “Only One.”
  • Crayon Pop are keeping campy K-pop alive with “Doo Doom Chit.”
  • Got7 kicked up the intensity — and confusion — for “Hard Carry.”
  • Dal Shabet are living for the weekend with “FRI.SAT.SUN.”
  • Park Hyo-Shin‘s I am a Dreamer comes out on October 3. Until then, you can tide yourself over with the pre-release MV for “Breath.”

  • Sandeul (B1A4) dropped the first couple of audio and visual teasers for his solo debut on October 4 with “Stay as You Are.”
  • Crush is releasing his new EP Wanderlust on October 13.
  • Amber and Luna continue to team up for EDM bangers. “Heartbeat” will drop through SM Station, and also serve as the theme song for the upcoming Spectrum Music Festival.
  • We can expect the return of Twice towards the end of October! Ladies Code is also shooting for an October comeback.
  • I.O.I. will be back on October 17 with their next album.
  • Big Hit certainly knows how to build anticipation for a comeback. First, BTS dropped the concept teaser “Boy Meets Evil” followed by a handful of concept image teasers. Wings will drop October 10.
  • Shinee – or should I say 5HINee – have gone full 90’s retro for “1 of 1.” As a lead-up to the comeback, they’ll introduce one song a day through their new Instagram. (Check out their website for heaps of nostalgia.)
  • Ailee‘s coming “Home” on October 5.
  • Davichi will return with a fan-voted lead single and the new album, 50 X half on October 13.
  • FNC is gearing up to debut new dance group SF9 with “Fanfare” on October 5. Cube’s new boy group Pentagon will follow on October 10.
  • Lee Hong-ki will take over Kiss the Radio following the departure of Super Junior‘s Leetuk.
  • Lay will release a special song for fans on his birthday. Is this a warm up for his Chinese solo debut?
