Welcome to another recap of weekly music shows! This week has the normal multitude of comebacks, including Boyfriend, Byul, and FIESTAR, among others. SBS Inkigayo was canceled in favor of the 2012 Nongshim Love Sharing Concert, which was essentially Inkigayo but all live and in front of a larger audience. Below are my picks for the week, but don’t forget to comment about your own favorites!

What’s a better way to start off than with this smooth track. This is one of those songs that pushes you to move to the beat, regardless of what you’re doing. And the performance is similar, with the focus of the movements being rhythm rather than synchronization. I’d want to party with these guys, and I may or may not be crushing on Zion. T. Also showing off his dance moves here is Haha, perhaps originally at KBS to support Byul?

Boyfriend made their comeback this week with Janus and a complete concept change, going for the more masculine and away from their previous peppy songs. The formal military styling wears well, though there are too many half-skirts running around. My favorite part is the dramatic combination of Kwang-min rapping and Hyun-seong standing on two backup dancers and holding the long note.

This week’s aesthetics were really well done, making me realize that NS Yoon-G is rocking red hair. This performance is a little better with Jay Park, but Simon does well. And this is most definitely an improvement from the stiffer performance on the previous day’s Music Bank.

Min-hee holds down the vocal fort while Jace and Yumi work the rapping. The performance has simple movements, but there’s plenty of attitude and power behind every word. If only they performed a tad more often.

Despite the ridiculous dance, this performance is growing on me. Roh Ji-hoon’s got the charisma aspect of performing down, and he handled microphone issues as well as he could have. The footwork comes across as gliding–more so than it did in the song’s music video–consequently appearing more sophisticated and as something I want to learn to do.

This week is B.A.P’s student edition, featuring Jong-up dancing with his backpack on and his College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) admission slip. This was an adorable way to lighten up the weight of the exam and change up the performance. In related news, this is B.A.P’s goodbye week for “Stop It,” and I’m sure Zelo must be sad: from his actions on stage during this set of promotions, this song was really his jam.
