After seeing Uee as an art student who gets her hamburger patty stolen and Park Shin-hye as a hoobae told to take a hike, we all thought it… will the rest of the main cast of You’re Beautiful also make a cameo in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (MGIAG)? The two female leads from the Hong Sisters’ last hit both made cameos in their newest drama MGIAG just last week, but what about the male leads? What made the question more relevant was that Park Shin-hye’s character in MGIAG was named Go Mi Nyu. Now, reports say that Jang Geun-suk, Lee Hong-ki, and Jung Yong-hwa were all offered cameo appearances in MGIAG and they all readily accepted the offer.
Whether or not their cameos come to pass depends on how their schedules work out to coincide with the drama’s. It was reported that all three are currently trying to adjust their schedules to fit into the shooting schedule of the drama. Jang Geun-suk has a movie Kimi Wa Petto (which has been delayed) and a possible part in the upcoming Kdrama Mary Stayed Out All Night on his plate among other appearances. Lee Hong-ki’s band F.T. Island is coming back to Kpop after a successful run in Japan with their mini album Beautiful Journey and the song “Love Love Love.” He also has begun the rounds of variety shows and will appear in next week’s episode of Running Man along with Kim Su-ro (aaah, Game Devil) and Shin Bong-sun. Although Jung Yong-hwa’s band C.N. Blue has stopped promoting their latest album Bluelove, they’ve been busy with concerts in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Yong-hwa also has filming for We Got Married as Seohyun‘s virtual huband and as MC for Inkigayo with JoKwon and Sulli.
The fact that all the stars from You’re Beautiful were ready and willing to make cameos in support of MGIAG makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I like to think they all readily agreed to the cameos because they all enjoyed being in the Hong Sisters’ You’re Beautiful soo much which just happens to be my fave Kdrama. I hope the stars align and we get to see Tae-kyung, Shin-woo, and Jeremy together one more time as A.N.Jell. If that happens, I just got one thing to say… Jackpot!
