It’s that time of year. The time when Christmas music comes out of hibernation to fill our ears with their holiday cheer. And a lot of it is terrible. Trust me, I know; I work retail. From bad covers of classics to wintery love songs to the frankly concerning amount of people who want to nail Santa, there’s more bad holiday music than good.
But that doesn’t mean there’s no good Christmas music. There’s plently! And when I want to feel festive but will take a knife to my ears if I hear one more cover of “Last Christmas”, this is the playlist I turn to. Some covers, some holiday love songs, some that aren’t really either but are intrinsically linked with winter, and nobody butchering Wham. What else can I ask for from the holidays?
