It is a truth universally acknowledged that not all hits are actually great songs… and not all great songs become hits.
This playlist is dedicated to the latter scenario: fantastic tracks that, for one reason or another, never got their full moment in the sunshine. From survival show standouts, to stellar tracks from lesser known groups, to songs that got some attention but (in this writer’s humble opinion) not nearly as much as they deserved, here are some of my favorite unsung gems of K-pop.
