  • Min Hee-jin is stepping down as CEO of Ador. She will remain on the board of directors as well as continuing as creative director for NewJeans. HR expert Kim Joo-young was named as the new CEO. Min’s representative stated that the decision was made “unilaterally without her consent”.
  • SM Entertainment announced that Taeil has been removed from NCT due to criminal accusations of sexual crimes, which the victim had reported in June. Taeil was reportedly subject to police investigation on August 28.
  • Seoul police handed over BTS Suga’s DUI e-scooter case to prosecution on August 30. He had posted a second apology after questioning last week.

  • Madein will debut with Rising on September 3
  • Yerin‘s mini-album Rewrite will come out on September 4
  • Onewe will also release the digital single “Off Road” on  September 4.
  • Riize will drop Riizing: Epilogue digitally on September 4, with a physical release on September 19.
  • Baekhyun dropped a trailer for his September 6 album Hello, World! 
  • Tzuyu shared a sneak peak of her  September 6 solo debut AboutTZU.
  • Xikers released an intriguing trailer for House of Tricky: Watch Out, also dropping on September 6.
  • Boynextdoor will come back with 19.99 on September 9.
  • SM revealed the avatar for Naevis, who will debut with Done on September 10. SM, along with LG U+, will use generative AI technology to create Naevis’s voice and content.
  • Key will return with Pleasure Shop on September 23.
  • Xodiac will release Some Day on September 26.
  • Kang Daniel teased a September comeback, Act.

Other News

  • Tag, Kim Jibeom, and Choi Bomin of Golden Child did not renew contracts with Woollim Entertainment and have departed the group.
  • Former Fifty Fifty members Saena, Sio, and Aran filed a lawsuit against Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong-Joon.
  • YG Entertainment announced plans to liquidate their dance venture, YGX.
  • The Black Label’s first girl group Meovv announced their lineup. The group has also signed to Capitol Records for global distribution.
  • Nana of After School has left Pledis Entertainment after 15 years with the company.
  • JYP Entertainment and FCENM announced that they will pursue legal action against explicit deepfakes of their artists.
