Here we are again with another Seoulbeats Mixtape.
Coming upon us is May 8th. This day not only marks Mother’s Day in the United States, but Parents Day in South Korea as well. In light of the holiday, I (with some help from the SB team) put together a playlist of songs dedicated to parents.
These songs don’t get highlighted too much, but now is the perfect time for them to shine. Remember, a “parent” doesn’t have to be blood related but can be someone who as treated you as their own –perhaps when you didn’t have anyone by your side. For me, “parent” is a title earned, not given.
For this list in particular, you’ll hear the sounds of g.o.d., JYJ, Zion.T, Ra.D, PSY, and many more. Zion.T’s “Yanghwa BRDG” is the only song on this playlist dedicated to both parents. And did you know that he composed the song in only 30 minutes?
