After some time out of the limelight, actress Go Ara is back with a vengence.  The next month will see not one, but two movies released featuring the SM starlet.  The sports drama ‘Pacemaker‘ opens January 18, followed shortly thereafter by the family comedy ‘Papa‘ on February 2. To help promote these films, Go Ara has been making appearances in many Korean magazines lately showing a variety of different charms.

In Harper’s Bazaar, she is shown in a rustic home with a hazy glow.  Wearing bulky knits and over-sized coats from designers like Gucci, Fendi and Missoni, the shoot has a cozy, dreamy feel.  Go Ara looks comfy and chic in the inviting setting.

Some of the earlier released shots from Elle Girl were highlighted in an earlier “Tom Boy” fashion trend piece, but more shots of the sporty shoot have since been released, shots that show Ara looking even less boyish than the previous photos.  While one shot shows her with a tennis racket (yet posed in a pitcher’s stance) the others are very light on athletic references.  Her hair is styled in some enviably messy waves, which are a highlight in an otherwise unimpressive pictorial.

Singles Magazine showed the most dramatic transformation for Go Ara, styling her in a variety of maid-like ensembles.  Ara sported a bob wig in the shoot that featured a multitude of lacy, corseted looks set amongst hired help staples like laundry, feather dusters and tea service.  While the hair is distracting at times, the actress did a great job showing of her sexier side in this shoot that stood out among the others this month.

Finally, High Cut’s feature on the beauty was simple and plain, much like the neutral knits the actress was styled in.  The lackluster shots also featured the worst fashion combination.  The lovely lace dress Ara wears while perched on the weathered stool would have been the best of the set had she been given some equally detailed black booties instead of the stark white socks and Keds.
