  • TWS’s “You, You” brought more dance beats to their bright and refreshing sound.
  • XngHan&Xoul went all-in on house music in “Glow.”
  • 82Major included surreal elements in their MV for “Sign.”
  • Lee Chaeyeon declared that there are “No Tears on the Dance Floor” in her first comeback with a new company.
  • NMixx dropped a pre-release single, the restrained yet powerful “Crescendo.”
  • Cravity donned priests’ robes in the dramatic MV for “Awake.”
  • Hype Princess previewed their hip hop concept in pre-debut release “Stolen.” Their self-titled debut album will drop on May 27.
  • Lucy returned with the upbeat “All Ages,” their first comeback since Gwangil completed his military service.
  • Park Jihoon came back with the midtempo track “Bodyelse.”
  • Soyou’s “Girl” contended that she is “not a cool girl” despite her high-fashion appearance.
  • Yuju claimed that “First Love is a Curse” in her groovy new single.
  • Illit asked “Who’s your bias?” and answered with “It’s Me!”

  • Babymonster released mugshot-style “moving posters” for Choom, out on May 4.
  • Cortis teased the MV for “TNT” and previewed other tracks from their first comeback EP GreenGreen, also out on May 4.
  • Lee Hi announced the May 5 release of a two-track single album, 2 Easy 2 Be Honest.
  • Billlie will return with The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter Two on May 6. Meanwhile, Gobelins Paris threatened to file legal action against Mystic Story for plagiarizing their short film Niccolo in Billlie’s teaser video for the album.
  • Kiiras will make their return with Ta Ta on May 6.
  • Rain will come back with digital single “Feel It” on May 11.
  • VVS will follow up their debut with Dash on May 11.
  • Got7’s Park Jinyoung dropped a trailer for Said and Done, out on May 13.
  • NCT’s Taeyong will release his first full album Wyld on May 18.
  • Zerobaseone will also return with their new lineup on Ascend that day.
  • Taeyang‘s fourth full album Quintessence is also scheduled for a May 18 release.
  • Itzy started sharing short videos of each member explaining her personal Motto. The EP will drop on May 18.
  • I.O.I posted a track list for their May 19 reunion EP Loop, which includes five new songs and one recorded in 2016.
  • Alpha Drive One will have their first comeback with a “prologue single” called “No School Tomorrow” on May 26.
  • TripleS announced a three-release project called Love&Pop, with Love out on June 1 and other parts to follow.

Other News

  • CIX will conclude group activities after their contracts with C9 Entertainment expire this spring. Seunghun posted a letter stating that he will leave the idol industry.
  • SM Entertainment won their lawsuit against YouTuber Sojang for defamation of Exo, Aespa, and Red Velvet members.
  • NCT’s Jaehyun was discharged from the military after his completion of mandatory service.
  • Galaxy Corporation apologized for G-Dragon wearing a racially offensive shirt on stage on May 2.
