- Winner’s Mino, who completed his alternative military service on December 23, is under investigation for allegedly failing to attend his duties as a public service worker.
- Following the December 29 plane crash at Muan International Airport, Acting President Choi Sang-mok declared a national mourning period until January 4. Many entertainment broadcasts and idol promotions have been cancelled.

- Fromis_9 released their final single with Pledis Entertainment, “From.”
- Onewe gave fans a holiday single, “We x Mas”.
- Stray Kids concluded their series of solo MV releases with Lee Know’s “Youth” and Bang Chan’s “Railway.”
- Nakyoung from TripleS dropped a special single, “Closer.”
- Kim Jaejoong returned with the comforting ballad “Hoper.”
- Ken from VIXX came back with a pop rock title track, “Gradually”.

- Le Sserafim’s Huh Yunjin will release a single “Jellyfish” on December 30.
- Onew revealed a track list and shared a highlight medley for Collection, out on January 6.
- Boynextdoor will also return that day with single “I Love You.”
- BSS announced that their next single album Teleparty will drop on January 8.
- Gfriend will reunite with Season of Memories on January 13 and will also perform a series of concerts..
- Ive will drop their first title track for Empathy on Jan 13, ahead of a February 3 album release.
- Wei released a trailer for The Feelings, out on January 15
- Cix teased a January release for Thunder Fever.
Other News
- Four members of Rocket Punch and five members of Golden Child will leave Woollim Entertainment after their contracts end on December 31.
- Rosé and Bruno Mars, Day6, NewJeans, Le Sserafim, and NCT 127 won Daesangs at the Asia Artist Awards. Byeon Woo-seok, Park Min-young, and Kim Soo-hyun won the major acting awards.
