I have a confession to make: I’m a big, soft-hearted fan of the holiday season.
I have another confession to make: It’s mostly because of the most superficial reason possible, which is that I like sparkly stuff!
Nothing fills my little heart with more joy than seeing homes and streets filled with shiny ornaments, festive greenery, and twinkling lights. The yummy seasonal treats don’t hurt either! However, it’s holiday lights that provide the inspiration for this playlist, twinkling exuberantly to produce radiance that outstrips their technically tiny size. Similarly, these songs have a certain softly sparkly quality that seems guaranteed to produce a happy glow regardless of whether you’re enthusiastically celebrating the holidays…or running as far away from them as possible!
