For Your Viewing Pleasure: A Study in Contrasts

Welcome back to another instalment of For Your Viewing Pleasure, where we take time out of the week to curate a set of photos from the K-pop landscape.

From strategic lighting choices to playful patterns, contrast can be created in a myriad of ways. This set of photos showcases the creative possibilities of experimenting with sets and styling. Miyeon and Shuhua of (G)I-dle sit side by side in boldly divergent looks, juxtaposing a crisp white shirt dress with a leather jacket and gorgeous pink tulle. Actor Gong Yoo and Le Sserafim’s Chaewon combine a minimalist colour palette with contrasting textures, while Park Seo-joon’s shoot for Elle highlights the simplicity of the actor’s outfit by foregrounding him against a brilliantly lit city skyline.
