Welcome back to another installment of For Your Viewing Pleasure, where we take time out of the week to curate a set of photos from the K-pop landscape.
Before we jump head first into the world of stripes and prints, knowing how to play with colours has to be the basics of having good fashion sense. Colours can make a huge difference in expressing a person’s mood and identity. The loud red of Suzy‘s outfit is sultry and eye-catching. On the other hand, the more muted yellows worn by Park Se-jin and Lee Tae-sun are earthy, bringing to mind the image of grounded and honest personalities. Depending on the various cuts and flows of the garment, the mood can also be changed with an outfit of a single colour. Umji’s blue sweater is calming and comfy, whereas Somi’s tight-fitting black dress is seductive. Solid colours are not to be underestimated and more than anything, they speak volumes about the wearer.
