Headlines

  • It’s year end awards and Gayo season. Unfortunately, this year came with more incidents than celebrations.
    • Red Velvet‘s Wendy took a 2.5 meter fall off a platform during rehearsals for the SBS Gayo Daejeon. She sustained a wrist and pelvic fracture, as well as damage to her face and cheekbones. She is currently still in hospital recovering. SBS has issued an apology and promised an investigation into the incident, but many are dissatisfied with the lack of proper apology after such serious injuries. We at Seoulbeats wish Wendy a thorough recovery.

    • MBC was accused of blocking performances by G Friend and TXT after it was revealed BTS would not be participating in the MBC Music Festival. MBC has since denied the claims.
