Another week of music shows has come and gone, giving us memorable performances from various artists. Exo has been sweeping up awards for “Call Me Baby,” bringing their total to six wins so far. Congrats to them!

There are a lot of big names currently promoting, which should make for exciting viewing. More comebacks are expected for next week, but this week, some old and new favorites caught my eye. Understandably, fans will differ in opinion, so you are welcomed to share your favorite performances in the comments. These are the ones I have personally chosen, and I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

“Mismatch,” Shin Bo-ra feat. Vasco, SBS Inkigayo, April 12, 2015

I don’t know too much about this artist, but that’s what I love about music shows. I’m introduced to different voices, and I really enjoy this song. It has a touch of tango flair, which makes me miss Latin ballroom dancing. While I’m not keen on Vasco’s rapping, I love Shin Bo-ra’s stage presence.

“Pray,” F.T. Island, Mnet M Countdown, April 9, 2015

I am loving this comeback from F.T. Island! The song exhibits a bit of J-rock with some punk elements, and Lee Hong-ki pours his soul into this performance. It’s so nice to hear a live band on stage instead of a pre-recorded backing track. I’m happy to see this group again.

“Ice Cream Cake,” Red Velvet, KBS Music Bank, April 10, 2015

Red Velvet is slowly growing on me. Their outfits fit the theme of the song, making for a fun, bubbly performance. Although the crazy camera zooming made me a bit queasy, I couldn’t pass on this stage because of how much everything else worked for this song.

“Pepe,” CLC, KBS Music Bank, April 10, 2015

This is another rookie group gaining access to my heart. Their infectious energy makes it difficult not to want to dance with them. I’m glad Cube Entertainment didn’t turn them into 4minute-lite with this debut. They have a charm all their own, and I look forward to future releases from them.

“Ahh Oop!” Mamamoo, KBS Music Bank, April 10, 2015

Roll your eyes, yawn, and give all the glares you want because I don’t care. I love these ladies! Some of their other performances from the week ticked me off on account of bad mics (shame on you, sound crew). Thankfully, this stage showcased their flawless vocals sans technical difficulties.

Now, some of you may feel a certain way about not seeing your bias group up there, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like those performances. I just happen to prefer these ones over others. No hard feelings; music means sharing the love, so do that in the comments below!
