20120419_seoulbeats_cubeentertainmentCube Entertainment announced that they will soon debut a multinational girl group. Originally, the mysterious group was referred to as “Cube Girls,” but the group now has the official name of CLC. The ladies are expected to make their entry into the K-pop scene sometime during the first half of 2015.

So far, only one member has been revealed, nineteen-year-old Sorn from Thailand, who is fluent in English and Korean. The members have all trained vigorously two to four years each with skills in singing, dancing, composing, writing and producing. The members are also trained in playing instruments, which can be seen in the following clip below:

As mentioned in the video, the members actively participate in charitable causes, donating their talents for the sake of helping children with health issues. It looks like they are already set on becoming an idol group who can spearhead social changes.

This would not be the first time Cube Entertainment has found talent overseas. Their roster already includes singer G.Na from Canada and BTOB member Peniel, who is American. This is, however, the first time since 4Minute’s debut in 2009 that Cube has announced bringing in a new female group.

Even though final numbers of the members have not been confirmed, the video above suggests this will be a five-member group. Still, this is K-pop, which is always unpredictable, so anything can change. Regardless of the size of the group, many are looking forward to this debut.
