Things have been so hectic around here that I wasn’t able to do a 5 Things for the past week.  There was an event that was noteworthy enough though that I just had to write about it no matter what (cooking and cleaning for the new year, trying to finish other posts including 5 Things I LOVED in Kpop This Year which will come out next year- meaning tomorrow, trying to get some sleep, etc.).  It was with much respect and appreciation to KBS and the KBS Drama Awards 2010 that the event took place: JYJ finally being able to perform on Korean television.

Junsu, Yoochun, and Jaejoong had been banned from performing on Korean TV as a group ever since they sued SM Entertainment for unfair contracts.  Although not said freely, SM Entertainment has definitely been flexing its considerable muscle to make things difficult for the trio to continue their activities in South Korea and Japan.  I’m glad KBS finally intervened (and grew a pair) by letting JYJ perform their hit song “Found You” from the  SungKyunKwan Scandal OST, check it out.

I was never really a big fan of DBSK, the only two songs I’ve ever really liked from them were “Love In the Ice” and “Mirotic” and my fave member was probably Yunho, but I just really hated how everything went down.  I do have to admit becoming a fan of Micky’s since SKKS, though.  It was a really great thing to see them able to perform again and the crowd seemed to have really enjoyed it, too.  They did awesome.  Hopefully, things will continue to workout for the trio in 2011.
