Well-known singer Lee Seung Chul left his common sense out the door and was charged for drunk driving. Needless to say, drunk driving is extremely dangerous and a stupid, stupid thing to do.  He was caught by the police inspection around 1 a.m. on November 15 with his blood-alcohol level reportedly at 0.125%. Unless there have been changes unknown to little, ol’ me, I believe you are legally drunk in Korea when you have a blood-alcohol level of 0.05% or higher. According to the police interview, the singer admitted to having five glasses of beer and that he had a passenger in his car whilst drunk.

“He returned home after he was questioned and charged for drunk driving,” a police official said. “His license will be revoked.”

That’s one more potentially dangerous driver off the road. News articles don’t emphasize the seriousness of drunk driving enough in my opinion and I am always relieved when I don’t read about fatalities that could have occurred from this type of reckless behavior.
