She didn't lie just because she was ashamed of it or whatever. You do have to understand that artists (it doesn't matter which country) have to keep things to themselves and might be instructed to say something else because more than anything, they have the public interest on them to take care of.

She wasn't tricked. That's what's fcuked up here. I'm not saying Dara was lying, but I'm betting something was lost in translation.

Posing for a sexy magazine here in the Philippines is more mainstream compared to say, Korea but it varies greatly from one actress to another. Why? More than anything, the actress and her manager or whatever still has the final say. Magazines like this one are pretty legit. They send offers to possible actresses, and it's up to the actress if she'll accept it. Furthermore, before the shoot commences, they have a pre-meeting where the staff explains the concept. Changes could be made according to the actress' request. They don't force photoshoots, nor trick people. If the actress couldn't agree with the concept, they find another one. That's it.

Dara probably lacked understanding, or she probably didn't understand how serious the concept was until she went on it. But tricked? Hell no. This magazine is under her former agency's publication wing. Also, I'm doubting that 'she doesn't have a manager' thing. She might not have one, but contract artists like here do have handlers there to see things through. A contract artist like her is prohibited to take projects alone.

Cultural differences? Yes there is, but I hope you're not implying negatively. This one incident, although common, doesn't represent the whole entertainment industry of our country. There is more to it than that.

I think it's hard to see the girls in these new images because their faces are really young. Even when they're trying to be sexy, they still look like teenagers.

Yuri, Sunny, Sooyoung, and Hyoyeon are showing versatility in taking pictures. Jessica doesn't seem to be able to switch from cute, smiling face to sexy, confident expression without putting on a scowl, like the ending of Oh! MV.

I think that's the difference between the other girl groups and SNSD. KARA, 2NE1, and BEG are all able to switch between cute, hip-hop, and dark/sexy and still look naturally fierce and confident...but SNSD need more work in that area.

Still, baby steps...hopefully this futuristic concept will really bring a change in the girls' images.

The pics with Sunny and Jessica are out.

Jessica's pose is lame. Can't even compare to Taeyeon's, who I think has the weakest shot so far...until Jessica's. The photographer didn't do a good job choosing the best picture giving a "strong, confident type" or a "futuristic concept".

Sunny has the best shot. Like Hyoyeon, she looks confident, not going to take %^$! from anybody, and ready to burst out "I am woman, hear me roar!" with her facial expression.

I honestly and truthfully see no real difference between them before and now, they just look the same but wearing black, i dont really see a real change of image. Its them in black with extensions. I dont think so far they are pulling the black concept. Maybe after their MV is released there will be a real change of image and attitude, but right now its still their preppy selves, in black.

"she even lied before, she denied dating joseph when in fact she really did date him."

...Are you a filipino?? Because I have known her since SCQ days and I know she never denied her relationship with Joseph.. Almost all filipinos know that. You make wrong assumptions.

"Sandara is like trying to paint a clean image of herself in korea. When in fact its already known in the phils that she is a party girl and very flirty with celebrity boys when she was staying in the phils."

.... really where did you get that? party girl? flirt? LOL Sandara Park is definitely the last person I would think to be like that. She had a very funny, sweet, young innocent image back in the Philippines. She doesn't need to "paint a clean image" because her image back then is already pure and honest. Filipinos were also shock that she posed on UNO because its far from her image but its not that big deal coz almost all filipino artist posed in a sexy magazine. Funny you. getting all wrong information about Dara.
