My first encounter with K-pop was in 1999 when my Korean classmate told me to ditch Backstreet Boys for a boyband called H.O.T. I never really got into H.O.T but by 2000 I was madly in love with Shinhwa. Shortly after that my mum got me hooked on a crazy Korean sitcom called Nonstop. Then new actor, Jo Insung caught my eye and my heart. From then on, I vowed that I would watch every movie and drama that he will ever star in. But of course I didn’t just stop at Jo Insung or Shinhwa. I got sucked into the whole K-Entertainment vortex.
Today, Super Junior has been my top fandom of choice (and if you’re a Suju fan, you would have figured out that one by now *points at my pen name*). But my heart has still room for TRAX, SHINee, Big Bang, 2PM, Wonder Girls, Lee Hyori and Boom.

i miss that show so much i started watching at season 2-3 i think and stopped right after jo insung and park kyung rim got married. i don’t think any season can beat that crew =D

I’ve just discovered and therefore have mad love for Shinhwa are you still a fan? Also love Wang lee hom, movies chungking express, Infernal affairs & Amlie….. Don’t know much about Super Junior except there is 13 in the group (thats a lot!) but i do love their Sorry Sorry track.
At the first time I read your name in one of your articles I immediately thought that you are a Suju fan because I always remember the episode in Suju Fullhouse with the English teacher & Eunhyuk answering “OK, WE CAN!” Am I right? lol.. always thought Seoulbeats is an anti suju,snsd, & anti Dara.. (my fave artists so far) especially when written by ellie.. I was so mad in some of the articles here that I almost swear to never read seoulbeats again.. I hope I could read your articles more often than that ellie, the queen of sarcasm..hmp! Anyways, it’s nice to know that a fellow Suju fan is a part of this blog!! Our history in kpop are almost the same because i also got into kpop by nonstop2, & Jo In-sung!! But my first boyband is ofcourse Suju. I hope to see more of Super Junior news because ever since they formed SJ-M their activities & news about them seemed to have mellowed.. I miss watching them in shows like Suju fullhouse & EHB.. SUJU fighting!! Ok-wecan fighting!!!

it’s heartwarming to find a Pinay writing for Seoulbeats. Jheez, we even have some common denominators; Shinhwa, Epik High, CSI and the one Pinoy band that mattered– E-Heads.
