Welcome to another edition of SB Week in Review! Here’s all the news you might have missed:

Headlines

  • Both Goo Hara and her ex-boyfriend Choi Jong-bum will face indictments for their September 13 altercation. Goo Hara will be charged for bodily harm, while Choi faces charges of bodily harm, blackmail, and sexual violence.
  • BTSJimin continued to make headlines over his controversial Liberation Day T-shirt which included an image of the atomic bomb being dropped over Japan in 1945. The history represented on the shirt remains a hot point of contention between Japanese and Korean fans with the former finding the shirt insensitive, and the latter praising Jimin for his patriotism. As for BTS’s Japanese activities going forward: their Music Station appearance has been indefinitely postponed, and their Kohaku Uta Gassen appearance canceled as a result of the controversy.
  • Producer Moon Young-il has been summoned for police investigations in the East Light abuse scandal. Back in October brothers Lee Seok-cheol and Lee Seung-hyun accused Moon of physical and psychological abuse during their time with Media Line Entertainment.
