I loved that there were all kinds of girls there

I guess I miss that part

  • severely

I liked the MV. It looks like they had a lot of fun with it.

The song is inoffensive, but not memorable. I could see it playing on a radio without you really noticing, but at least it’s not, “OMG, CHANGE STATIONS NOW.”

    Hahaha ?

oh yes we love the video! super cute!^^

  • http://twitter.com/fuzzymogwai twang

not a super great song, but its bouncy and fun enough for summer =D the crowd concept reminds me of wonder girls like this, but less…spontaneous looking? hehe either way it looks like it was a fun time ^.^

  • RuxandraM

Indeed, the video is a bit different than what I would normally expect from the girls. It has girls of different ages (I saw some kids behind them at one point), and if I’m not mistaken it even has boys dressed up as girls (pause at 1:55 and tell me if I’m wrong). It’s extremely colourful and it doesn’t actually have a plot; the girls are just having fun, and given the song it just seems this is the right video to make for it.

As for the song, it’s just summery and quite on the commercial side, something that would get stuck in your head and that probably best fits summer days. It actually makes me want to go out and exercise, it has that kind of feeling :) And it does help that the dance is pretty simple, so anyone can follow.

I think it’s just the safe way for them to go with their promotions in Japan at the moment.

A cutsey-fied Soshi-fied “Like This” from Wonder Girls.

    • http://twitter.com/Myrmicinae Tetramorium jedi

Actually, “Like This” resembles SNSD´s “Hahahaha song” MV. And “Love & Girls” looks like a flashmob version of f(x) “Hot Summer”.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Caroline-Uchiha-Shiroyama-Cassiopeia/100000364406070 Caroline Uchiha Shiroyama Cass

+2 for flashmob ‘hot summer’ LOL

the girls are gorgeous and all but can we talk about the guys dressed in drag, damn they looked good

    • Manuel

      Hahaha, they did!

  • 092393

it’s actually their 2nd mv with big crowds. the first one is the hahaha song

  • tamariz8

the MV seems fun and fresh but the song didn’t do it 4 me. i have listened to it 3 times but i can’t remember how it goes :S

  • lokifairy

I like the song. It#s nothing special but I still listen to it the whole day and want to learn the dance lol

  • http://twitter.com/JohnDeSims JDSono

Aren’t the girls to old for this..?

The song and video are both trash

    • RiEA

Do u kno that Love and Girls MV is a total rip off of Ricki-Lee: “Do It Like That” MV! Check it out! Its one Vimeo! Same summer theme, tons of balloons, lots of ppl, upbeat style with catchy dance move and rhythm/beat, girls dancing with her in colorful outfits, switch to a stage in the middle of the crowd, switches from light to dark, and even has that huge light in the back spelling out the singers name Ricki Lee just like in the back of taeyeon’s pic where it says GG!! Ricki lee’s album was called fear and freedom and snsd has that same type of wording with the 2 words and “and” connecting it!

      • Gaya_SB

I’m still getting used to post-weight loss Coulter. “Do It Like That” is fun, and I can see the siminarities, though Rick-Lee takes the more adult route in a way that SNSD simply can’t.

“Can’t Touch It” is still my favourite song by her though

        • RiEA

Ur completely right! Plus, Ricki-Lee actually has strong vocal talent unlike snsd who was singing with childlike voices 25% of the time and there was whistling and music 75% of the time. And thanks for those links, I couldn’t see the first one thou cuz its restricted in my country but “can’t touch it” is really good!!! XD

          • Gaya_SB

            It is isn’t it?

And I can’t find another MV for “Do It Like That,” but I do have this live, and she looks so good here (hopefully the video works!)

      • http://twitter.com/JohnDeSims JDSono

Not surprising its jacked. Kpop copying strikes again lol

        • norimix

          It’s jpop idiot.. XD

          • RiEA

it’s k-pop idiot! Just b/c they released a Japanese song doesn’t make it Jpop! They are part of the hallyu wave and everything part of hallyu is kpop, not Jpop! Its like a tag that labels them! However, DBSK and BoA are different b/c they weren’t part of the hallyu and their work is considered Jpop not kpop b/c they are fully accepted as Jpop artists!

      • Moon Starer

Oh, I think I saw you somewhere already but with a different username.

        • RiEA

(o_O ) wha? I have been using this username since like forever….Wrong person dude!

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001186955462 Kevin Jin

i dont see how is “Do It Like This” sounds like LOVE & GIRLS

        • RiEA

I was talking about the music video! Look at the directing, its exactly the same. It can’t be a coincidence!

  • http://twitter.com/JohnDeSims JDSono

Would this be considered misappropriation of block party style of Hiphop?

And what’s up with the “paddy cake”…

  • RiEA

Love and Girls MV is a total rip off of Ricki-Lee: “Do It Like That” MV! Check it out if u don’t believe me! Coincidence? I think not!! Run devil run, genie, dancing queen, I got a boy, oh, Mr.taxi, be happy, time machine, copying Jpop girl group Passpo’s covers for their Japanese album, etc!! Like seriously?? Everything till now just seems to be nothing but reproduction of other singers songs, MV’s, and style. Somehow I saw this coming! Oh boy!! U think they would get sick of doing this continuously and try something else!

    • http://twitter.com/staplersama Raiden ? RAIDEEEEEN

Thanks for the info, looks like the director did rip off “Do It Like That”, I didn’t know. However the other examples are way off… All the songs you mentionned are songs SM bought for the girls and did not “rip off” so chill :) (I agree for passpo I guess though… It didn’t even look good anyway)

      • RiEA

Those other one’s I listed aren’t supposed to relate to this MV. I brought those other songs up b/c they were all bought one after another. Majority are all reproductions and it just seems like all they do is buy songs from others or rip off covers/MV’s. Why is it done soo much? Doing it too much for one group over and over every year is overkill!!

    • norimix

      You are really reaching.. XD

      • RiEA

        reaching what? O_o

  • http://www.pkal.se/ Patrik_k

Boring song was the word. :P
But cute MV, intresting to see that MV for the japanse market often are done in a “cuter” style and have more bright colors compared to MV’s for the korean market.

  • Manuel

I think this is a very refreshing video, at least for SNSD, seems like SM finally discovered that there are a bunch of people out there besides Shoujo Jidai, what i loved about the video, even though it is very simple and silly sometimes, is to see how much fun the girls are having and made me want to have a good day
