    ORGEL.

    That is all.

    • http://colourmesplendid.wordpress.com Ree

Someone from SHINee composed that? :o

      • Gaya_SB

No, actually, I got confused between composing and writing OTL Jonghyun only wrote it.

        • http://colourmesplendid.wordpress.com Ree

I heard Onew was apparently meant to have a self-composed song on the album called “It’s You” or something? I was looking forward to it, but it wasn’t on the album.

          • Gaya_SB

Yeah, it’s not here (I’m listening to it right now I CAN’T STOP); the only idols involved are Jonghyun and Changmin, both in song-writing.

    • Paloma

Gayaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! (ending the spam in Dana’s post now)

      • Gaya_SB

sorry, I fell asleep! OTL timezones

        • Paloma

… and then I fell asleep. Yay coordination!

Anyway, everything good? The classes? I see lots of new writers around here, so nice :)

Yoochun – Kiss the baby sky, and Love Bye Love.

  • eosin

    yeeun’s G.N.O. :)))))))))

  • Madihah Yusof

I really like Puppetry by Janghyun & Misung (Sunny Hill).

    • Gaya_SB

I love that song so much

      • Madihah Yusof

One of the reason I like it is because I could hear all five of them singing in that song. That’s rare. Not to mention the haunting melody. Love it since the first time I heard it, still loving it now.

        • Gaya_SB

Yes, Janghyun is one of the reasons why this is my favourite Sunny Hill song. It really is a beautiful melody, and Jang-hyun’s voice comes in at just the right time for me. Seungah’s part gets me too.

          • Madihah Yusof

To me this song is the perfect marriage of their very different voices and singing styles. Kota’s rocker-chick voice, Seungah’s seductive whisper, Janghyun’s smooth style, Jubi’s melodious voice and in the middle of it all you get Misung’s rapping cutting suddenly into the smooth flow of the song.

          • Gaya_SB

I especially love the way Janghyun’s voice is paired with Seungah’s for his first two lines, and then when Jubi’s voice comes in things get kicked up a notch… it’s a great build up to the chorus.

And Kota is phenomenal, no wonder all the boys have a crush on her…

          • Madihah Yusof

Yes, Kota is amazing, she’s my favourite. But I always think that Sunny Hill’s best quality is that how they meld together so wonderfully as a group. Each person brings his/her own style and charm forward, and you get an outstanding performance. In my opinion, Puppetry is the best proof of this.

  • http://colourmesplendid.wordpress.com Ree

It’s technically a remake, but it trumps over the original any day. “Me, In” by Ye Eun.

    • Gaya_SB

I really like the original, but Yeeun did a great job with it.

      • http://colourmesplendid.wordpress.com Ree

The original was way too shrill and old school folk-rocky for me. I was amazed at how creative Ye Eun was with it — serious talent right there.

        • Gaya_SB

I don’t remember any shrillnes, but I get that the sound wouldn’t be for eveyone. Heck I was surprised I actually liked it myself!

  • http://splashofinspiration.wordpress.com/ Shweta

A Super Popular One: “Lies” by GD.
A Not as Popular One: “Girlfriend” by Ye Eun.
A Really Obscure One: “9095″ by Jaejoong.

  • maldita

    Yunho – Honey Funny Bunny
    GD – Lies, Last Farewell
Donghae and Eunhyuk – I Wanna Love You
Henry and Leeteuk – All My Heart

    • http://splashofinspiration.wordpress.com/ Shweta

Unfortunately, Yunho didn’t write “Honey Funny Bunny.” He did compose “Checkmate” though.

      • maldita

He didn’t? :( Boo. All this time I thought he wrote the kinky-ish lyrics. Checkmate and Spokesman are other guilty pleasures of mine. :)

        • http://splashofinspiration.wordpress.com/ Shweta

If only I could say that Jaejoong didn’t write the super kinky “Kiss B”

But Yunho did write/compose “Spokesman,” as well.

  • http://twitter.com/ichashinhwa Bye shinhwa

It’s quite hard to pick one among many Shinhwa has composed.. but “Destiny of Love” is hands down my most favorite songs from them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5jbg_9_Xss composed by Minwoo. lyrics written by Hyesung. rap by Eric. The MV, the lyrics, the songs, the timing when this song was released were just…….perfect. Perfectly sad, perfectly heartbreaking…yet beautiful somehow LOL

    • Lili Little

What do you mean by the timing?

      • http://twitter.com/ichashinhwa Bye shinhwa

the timing means the timing. it was released on mid-2008. they were already on hiatus when this was released and the MV showed their concert clips+promise they’ll be back. It made this song became more sad yet meaningful..

  • http://blossom423.tumblr.com/ Elizabeth

I really love most of GD’s written such as Lies, Fool, Haru Haru, Strong Baby, Heartbreaker, Breathe, A Boy, One Of A Kind, That XX, Jay Park’s Know Your Name, Abandoned, Junhyung’s Breath, Shock, Fiction, Though I Call, IU’s Lost Child, and 4AM and Yeeun’s Girlfriend and Me, In

  • zizi

I don’t really listen to many idols actually, but Changmin’s “Love in The Ice” is always my favorite and Younha’s “People” makes me repeat in until now :)

  • http://evacuatewithstyle.org/blog Amy

I really like Minwoo’s stuff. He produces a lot of songs for Shinhwa and he has a really good sense of good dance pop. I believe he did Run and Venus, which both sound GREAT.

  • GeekGrrl

I love GD’s work, but my favorite is absolutely She’s Gone.

  • http://PSYberbully.com/ B1GAY4

I love all of Yeeun and Jonghyun’s compositions(especially Alarm Clock + Hello To Myself) but none beats IU’s 4AM.
    Also, Ra.D isn’t an idol.

  • Jaclyn

ZICO’s stuff is amazing. He’s brilliant.

I’m surprised no one mentioned Jinyoung. All the songs he’s released are awesome.

    • Ambika

Jinyoung’s (you mean B1A4, yes?) growth from something like “Bling Girl” to “Tried to Walk” is impressive.

  • shannie4888

I like GD’s compositions. Too may to list. I also like “One Summer Night” by BEG. I think it was composed by JeA. I’m not a 100% sure though. I love the song and MV though. Pure perfection.

    Donghae’s Beautiful
    Jiyoung’s Tried to Walk
    Henry’s All My Heart

  • http://twitter.com/bloo_thuthu Thu Huyen

Changmin only wrote the Korean lyrics for “Love in the Ice,” which was actually composed by Daisuke Suzuki.

“Kissしたまま、さよなら” (As We Kiss, Goodbye) by Yoochun and Jaejoong
    “In Heaven” by Jaejoong
    “Sad Memories” by Seungho
“Lies,” “Haru Haru,” “That XX” by GD
    “Tried to Walk” by Jinyoung
“돌고 돌아도” (Around and Around) by Xia(h) Junsu
“Nillili Mambo,” “Mental Breaker” by Zico

  • http://twitter.com/V_Soleil Fly

All by TVXQ, JYJ and Zico <3

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001510115578 Asela Cheung

Hands down anything composed/written by Zico, JaeJoong, Tablo, BEG’s JeA and U-Kiss’ AJ because they all have, maybe this is just me, passion through the songs they composed. Also, their songs have so much creativity, emotion and expressive that it grabs the audience’s attention. I’m just in love with their compositions, its hard to pick one. ^^

  • cileft

donghae’s “loving you”, “a short journey”, “y”, and “just like now”
and jinyoung’s “tried to walk” of course

  • viki32

but Changmin did not compose Love in the Ice right? He wrote the lyrics to the Korean version I suppose…
