Welcome to another set of performances from the week’s music shows! This week saw comebacks from SHINee, Space A,and Kim Tae-woo, a follow-up by SPEED, and featured CNBLUE‘s two-song goodbye stages. SISTAR19 continued to slay music shows by nabbing wins on MBC Music‘s Show! Champion, Mnet M! Countdown, and KBS Music Bank. Below are my favorites of the week, but don’t forget to comment with your own choices!

SHINee’s “Dream Girl,” Mnet M! Countdown, February 21, 2013

Yes, this is that performance, the one where Minho‘s mic stand breaks and fellow group members neatly push broken parts off to the side. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen this video watching for those moments where the members kick the mike stand away or sweep the base off to the side, mainly because I didn’t even notice the first time I saw the performance. Instead, I just saw that this is Onew‘s jam. Just look at the way he works this song. Luckily for the eyes, not one of the members is sporting shorts over leggings or pants. I wish the same could be said for their other performances.

Jevice‘s “Cause of You,” Mnet M! Countdown, February 21, 2013

I’m really enjoying this fast-paced song from the ballad duo. I haven’t really looked into the group before, but this definitely caught my eye while streaming the broadcast.

Iconize‘s “Show You What I Got,” KBS Music Bank, February 22, 2013

This band makes me want to just ruffle all their hair because they’re so adorable. And still in high school. It seems new band Iconize (or rather, Nekki Entertainment) has chosen to make their debut on music shows before actually releasing their music or a music video. Though no fear, a teaser indicates something is coming. I’m really digging their song, and they have more stage presence than I expected them to have. And that guitarist’s low pitch was definitely unexpected.

Dasoni‘s “Good Bye,” KBS Music Bank, February 22, 2013

The second female duo on my list is EXID subunit Dasoni. Though it seems a bit early for the group to branch out into a subunit, I enjoy the song and the fan work by the male backup dancers.

NU’EST‘s “Hello,” KBS Music Bank, February 22, 2013

NU’EST’s use of the stage is really quite pleasant to see. The way the choreography is broken apart on stage keeps the attention focused on whoever is moving, and as a result, keeps the performance dynamic and clean. The use of snaps is also particularly eye catching. And Ren should keep this hair.

B.A.P‘s “One Shot,” SBS Inkigayo, February 24, 2013

B.A.P continues to bring it with their push-up dance. I can’t get over their choreography, mainly the part where they fall straight down because that’s just scary. And thank goodness their style is much better this round of promotions. While Youngjae does a good job of covering Himchan‘s parts, I do miss the spark, low and gravelly whisper/singing, and just plain weird the older member brings to their performances. Who knows where a good ol’ crazy face could have been incorporated here?

CNBLUE’s “Coffee Shop” + “I’m Sorry,” SBS Inkigayo, February 24, 2013

I’d like to thank SBS for allowing CNBLUE to perform live every week on Inkigayo. There’s definitely something special about a live performance, and it’s good that CNBLUE was able to regularly showcase one.
