Big Bang was the Bestest EVAR! Duh, Amy. But seriously all y’all on the east coast going to their concerts this weekend you won’t be disappointed. It was almost 3 hrs of pure K-pop bliss.

Definitely looking forward to the election. I hope people vote. It’s a pity Americans are considered so lazy/apathetic toward elections.

Honestly, I’m a registered voter, and I intend to vote Tuesday, but elections make me nauseous.

At this point, I’m just glad it is going to be over, because I’m just about disgusted with both candidates and the petty behavior they have displayed over this entire election cycle. There has been way too much b*tching back and forth for my taste. It is easy to develop apathy when you don’t fully believe in either candidate. This time it just feels like choosing between burnt steak and REALLY burnt steak; either way it’s probably going to leave an unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth.

Since when are elections not incessant bitching back and forth though?

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Nate-Broadus/100003245734823 Nate Broadus

True enough, but this one takes the cake. At least the other elections seemed like the attacks were centered on policies — this one is just one constant stream of inaccurate mudslinging on both sides. They have made it way more personal than it ever had to be.

I was appalled at both for running ads that were less about real issues and more about fabricated ones saying, “That guy is a no-good son of a bitch that will kill your family and kidnap your children. Don’t vote for him — or else you hate America. You don’t hate America, do you? I’m (insert candidate here) and I approve this message.”

I expect some mudslinging from my politicians, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to let them browbeat me into making the “right choice.”

          • Black_Plague

Can’t deny that it was still pretty funny to see them go at each other like that in the presidential debates lol.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Nate-Broadus/100003245734823 Nate Broadus

Depends on the debate, really. The first debate looked like Obama rolled out of bed and said, “Oh crap, was that debate today?” It was so one-sided, it kind of took the fun out of it a little bit. The second one was more even, which made it more entertaining — except they both danced around the topic of the economy like friggin ballerinas (“Taxes? Whoop–”*pirouette* *jete*–”Did I mention how much of a bastard my opponent is?”).

I will admit, SOME of it has been mildly entertaining, but this economic situation we’re in is no joke and I want to hear what the next commander-in-chief of the United States has in mind to rectify it. I don’t think that’s too much to ask of my presidential candidates. If they could quit sniping at each other like 3-year-olds, maybe some intelligent discussion on the topic could be had — MAYBE…

          • http://evacuatewithstyle.org/blog Amy

Not sure about that — every election is touted as being “the nastiest one in recent memory” and I don’t actually think this one was anything worse. In fact, I’m a little surprised it didn’t get even crazier, since McCain’s campaign in 08 did a LOT more of the racial jabbing that Romney’s campaign has surprisingly not done too much of?

If there’s anything special about this campaign season to me though, is the amount of blatant lying that Romney’s side has been doing. I don’t think Democrats are saints themselves, but it’s so easy for their campaign to come out looking like the nicer people when the Repubs are making it so easy.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Nate-Broadus/100003245734823 Nate Broadus

I don’t trust either one of them, to be perfectly frank. They both have their ways of skewing facts — though Romney does seem far less inclined to hide it.

This whole thing has become a class war, middle vs upper — and both sides have bought into the propaganda to some disgusting levels. Class conflicts can be just as devastating as racial conflicts, because it further divides one race from another, and even two from the same race. That is one reason for my disgust. That and I scoff at the notion that one candidate will doom America, as both sides seem to be trying to say will happen if they aren’t elected.

I’m voting because I have family and friends who have served in the military for generations, and whether it sounds cheesy or not, I owe it to them out of respect to take my vote seriously and not chuck it into the garbage. That said, I’m not coming away from this election ecstatic over the winner, regardless of if the candidate I vote for wins.

You know that feeling you get when two people are going at each other and you finally just say, “I’m sick of seeing you two act like little kids. Take it somewhere else?” I was there a couple of months ago.

My hometown is pretty devastated from the hurricane. Staten Island could use all the help it can get. I know a couple of people who lost their homes or were flooded pretty badly. I live only about 2 miles from the worst flooded areas. Americans can donate on ITunes to the Red Cross!

I hope every American will be voting on Tuesday. This is my favorite time of year as I’m a big political junkie.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Nate-Broadus/100003245734823 Nate Broadus

Sorry to hear that, man. Prayers to you and all affected. I’ve sent my money, and send my best thoughts your way.

      • nyalims

Thank you for the prayers and thoughts!

    • Gaya_SB

      Wishing you a speedy recovery!

      • nyalims

Thank you! My neighborhood wasn’t badly effected like some others but Staten Island is like a small town (but with 500,000 other people).  We’ll rebuild and we’ll be stronger.

he totally had me fooled with his single/lonely/sad-man-hitting-his-40′s  act

        • Gaya_SB

          wow, thanks for the link!

          Yes, Janice.
It was the biggest shock over reality show I received on Sunday morning…. Since I am a fan of 2D1N Season 2, and I love all the members and their antique personalities…

Now, he gets them all (friends, wife + child to be, dogs + career).
          Wow, just wow ….

Although strangely I felt a little bit betrayed (this gets me wonder, I never idolized anyone in my life, so how can I felt betrayed by someone I never knew my whole life? Mind boggles….), I wish all the happiness for him and his whole big family (including his ‘family’ the members of 2D1N and his dogs, hehehe).

Now, if we can match Jong Min to someone (rumour he already has one)…

But then the group would shift to 4:3.
Married will get beaten every time.. Who could win over the combination of Joo Won, Shi Kyung and Jong Min? With Joo Won super speed + determination of Shi Kyung if food is on the line….

I’m totally interested in the potential development of UhmForce. The man’s acting skills have been super sleuth and now I’m thinking that he’s had us hoodwinked with his variety persona, all the while hiding his real self. For all we know he’s really like his drama personas, except with a cheesy punny sort of humour!

I seriously cant help but to have flashbacks to the chuseok episode where he was all “giddy” and red faced around the female announcers. And all that belly flopping on the fishing boat! Oh lordy, now I’m giddy just thinking about future 1N2D episodes.

Pressure will mount on Jong Min!
            Loneliness will strike upon Shi-Kyung!
Lost puppy syndrome shall manifest in Joo Won!
Su Geun’s gonna have a field day!
Tae Hyun will ROFL to his deathbed!
            Cheesiness shall plague everyone!

For a guy who doesn’t actually speak that much, TaeWoong’s got quite a grip on the cast dynamics, huh?

Ho, I wish Seoulbeats review again about the overall of 2D1N season 2. I want to know what Soulbeaters feel about this show.

So, I wasn’t the one who ‘fooled’ by Uhmforce (in a good way…). I wonder what all the actors there have something up in their sleeves. Although my bitter experience once told me that K-entertainment were heavily scripted, I buy all the act they put on 2D1N and I enjoy thoroughly their performances.

Maybe Joo Won doesn’t really afraid of bug. But, what others secret are there? Funny how I can’t think of one. Or maybe actually Seung Woo is really a sleuth in real life, or all of them have double identity… haarrrggh…

And almost all acted/acts in prime drama (Iris, Equator Man, Gaksital, Jeon Woo Chi).

I never thought they would go this far, especially if I compare them to the season 1…

The wifey episode should be interesting…
Far that I know, all the wives are very supportive.
Just remember when Su Geun’s wife prepared all the items for outing, and Seung Woo’s wife came to pick him up after finishing her drama. Wow…

But then, we might find Shi Kyung sulking, won’t him?
Let him be the king of the day then, with all the delicious food and plenty of them prepared by the wives. He’ll be smiling ear to ear….

Ooooooo… looking forward to this ;p
Nice to know you Janice, and a bonus that you also like to show as well….

          • http://twitter.com/seaseesea Janice

Shi Kyung may APPEAR to be alone, but you never know what’s really going on! He’s got some sneaky pants going on too, do you recall that train ride and how he had some dishes hidden in his package of rice? Hungry or full, he’s got that sharp wit going on, and I’m lovin his new smart-but-stupid persona!

Honestly I’m harboring hopes of more shi-kyung and joo-rodin puppy lurve times heheh…. and it’s nice to meet you too!
