In the world of K-pop and K-entertainment, there are stars abound with killer fashion sense. Whether it is the result of a stylist’s creative genius or an idol’s own eye for what’s in vogue, fabulous and chic ensembles seem to be everywhere from music stages to the small screen, and it’s natural for fans like us to want to emulate the styles of our favorite idols.
That being said, I would like to formally introduce you all to the first edition of The SB Look Book. Natalie and I, who designed the outfits below with the help of our favorite brands, want The SB Look Book to emulate K-pop fashion and make it available to you in both a cost-savvy and accessible way, which means you can get all of what you see from places you know, both online and in-store here in the US. These outfits are made for fans, like you, by fans, like us!
This week is a how-to on getting T-ara’s Lovey Dovey look. Lovey Dovey is perhaps one of my favorite songs by T-ara, and it was an added bonus to find so many fun outfits in T-ara’s promo pics, music video, and music stages. The Lovey Dovey look focuses on bright reds and blues, and is heavy on cheetah prints and sequin embellishing. T-ara’s stylistic focus for Lovey Dovey is the club scene, however these outfits are simple and versatile enough to wear for days or evenings, or both! Check out these custom-designed outfits, sourced from Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, and Steve Madden, inspired by T-ara’s latest hit Lovey Dovey.
We hope you enjoyed the first edition of The SB Look Book, featuring outfits designed by me and Natalie, inspired by T-ara’s Lovey Dovey comeback. Let us know what you think about our selections, your opinions on what other clothing brands we could be using, and recommendations on whose style we should try recreating next! Be sure to look out for future editions of The SB Look Book to find out how you can dress like your favorite K-pop idol or K-entertainment star!
