Luna in Coyote Ugly?!

Though I have mixed feelings for idol group f(x), my feelings for f(x)’s Luna are pretty positive. She’s talented, pretty, as well as professional and charismatic.

Given her qualifications, I would like to think that she can handle anything. But with recent reports of her involvement in the Coyote Ugly musical, I’m beginning to have my doubts. As I’ve mentioned before, she’s very talented but in her promotions as a member of f(x), she has presented a very elegant, classy image. Coyote Ugly…is almost everything but elegant and classy. It’s all very entertaining but regardless of how talented she is, can I see Luna dancing on a bar top?

Not really. But then again, who knows? Maybe she’ll surprise me.

    Luna was orignally casted bc of her dance skills so i think she might be able to pull it off but the better question is why the movie was okay but nothing great but i guess people will see it

    She seems way too innocent to be dancing in a wet shirt on a bar top. Plus, she isn’t old enough? I think this is too inappropriate for Luna. .______.

      when i saw this i laughed so hard. coyote ugly is that movie that originally starred poeple like tyra banks and some other sexy models right?? i’m looking forward to seeing if luna can pull something like this off. she has the singing and dancing talent i think so it’ll either be really good or really bad & hilarious.

        I honestly can’t see Luna sexy dancing and partying hard. I mean, she’s still underaged anyway. I’m so confused. Why SM? WHY?

    Dunno. I love her, but is she ready? I mean the girl has a tendency to crumble pretty easily when criticized or something to that effect.

    She can’t be much of a professional when she cries every single time there’s a hint of criticism with her “talent”. This is a girl who must have been told since she was young that she rocks in singing and she’s one of the best out there, then someone else comes along and tells her, “No, actually, you’re not that great, you need to do more work…” or someone else sings better than her, and she can’t take it, she whines and cries.

    She’s a teenager, so she may still be quite young to be dealing with such criticisms, but she may be too young for this musical not only because of the content and story, but also because her emotional maturity may not be fully developed yet, and any sign of negativity might reduce her to tears.

      But I don’t think her age should be used as a pass for her sensitivity to criticism. I’m not quite sure what you mean by “her emotional maturity may not be fully developed yet,” but I think her issues have more to do with the way she reacts/responds to it rather than her age. Luna’s, what, 17 now? I’m the same age, and I deal with criticism–given privately or publicly–about my writing just fine, but it took me some time to learn as writing is important to me (as singing is probably to her). So no, she’s not too “young” to deal with it, she just needs to learn how to deal with it better. It’s ok to cry, but to do it in front of the people who gave you those tips just leaves a bad impression. I’m sure she knows that by now; she needs to grow a thicker skin and learn how to control herself and keep her composure.

      Regardless, I really can’t say much on how well she’ll do in the musical. Sure, she’s got an all right voice, but I feel that her stage presence is sometimes lacking. I’ll judge after all is said and done.

    it’s always good to expand your horizons. i personally would like to see her do this because you can’t expect her to always present herself as an idol for the rest of her life.

      But I think it’s much too early for her to expand to a completely different atmosphere. 3/4 of the movie exploit women in a bar grinding each other and getting drunk. Luna’s only 17. She’s not even allowed to drink alcohol. Yes, Luna is extremely talented. But can she really pull it off? It might come out as awkward.

    So what if she cries a lot it just shows that she’s a very passionate person. She’s one of those idols that have true talent and thus is an idol because she loves to sing and perform, not because she just wants to be famous.
