Today, FT Island‘s new mini-album was digitally (not physically) released. (I know this because I went to two different places tonight, looking for the CD, and both said, ‘Tomorrow.’ *sigh* *growl* I wanted to get it today. *pouts*) I am psyched about listening to it tomorrow, but I made sure to catch the brand-spankin’ new MV for “Hello Hello” as soon as I woke up this morning. (Side note: Didn’t they remember that SHINee released a single of the same name not very long ago?) Watch!!

Song comments: I like the song, but I’m not an unbiased observer. I was a little thrown off when the song changes around the 2.30 mark, but it worked, I think.

MV comments: a. Do they not realize that the scanner recording is of some kind of domestic disturbance, not a fire? b. Does anyone want to try calling 232-5019-482 (The number shown for “LIVE FTC WORLD NEWS HD”)? (Let me know how it turns out.) c. If someone had notified me that they needed foreigners to stage an ‘American’(?) scene, I could’ve totally helped out! d. The storyline for the MV is… confusing. I really don’t understand what is going on! I mean, Hong-ki walks into a smoky building, then finds himself in a warehouse-sized room and rocks out with people he may or may not know, then they all stagger out together? No comprende. e. At least the ‘dance’ looks as easy as the one for ‘Love, Love, Love’, perhaps even easier – just make occasional hand flourishes. (If only they were all so easy to learn…)

All in all, I like it, and I can’t wait to see this song steadily climb the charts!

    song’s ok. i don’t hate it, but i don’t like it either

    I didn’t like the MV at all. It didn’t make sense, and displays another instance where they add English in hopes that it will make it catchy. Hello, Goodbye, ugh. However despite this, I still find myself humming to the beat.

      In this case, the hello goodbye and all actually had relevance cause the ord anneyoung (I think that’s how its spelt) can mean hello as well as goodbye, so he’s saying the word to him means hello, as in he’s trying to keep the girl in his life cause he still loves her but she’s using the word as a goodbye and pushing him away. But in terms of the mv, although I love how all of them look, I have to agree that I didn’t understand it all either.

    love the song although it has some kind of C.N.Blue feel to it (doesn’t mean that i don’t like C.N.Blue…it’s just different from their usual style)…

    The MV is pretty simple once you know what it’s about. Hongki goes to the apartment and finds it on fire, then he runs in to save his friends. His band members make it out alive but he didn’t. DX

    I love FT Island <3 Loved Hongki's face when he was saying "Everybody say hahaha!"

    I wonder where they filmed it though…?

    i love the whole song except for the hello hello and goodbye goodbye part, it is just soo strange, forced, and kinda of amateurish sounding.

    Not crazy about Hello Hello. It sounds too gimmicky like most of their title songs but their album overall is pretty solid
