And, finally, here are my brief observations and thoughts:
- Too much black. I mean, I get that it’s cold, but isn’t KPOP known for it’s color??
- Too much grey! Although black, white, and grey are my favorite colors to wear, I don’t want to see them at the Golden Disk Awards, people!! Where did all the stylists go?!! Props to miss A for bringing just a bit of pop to the red carpet. (I’d like to think that if Big Bang and 2NE1 were there we’d see a whole lot more color…but that’s just me.)
- Lots of idols descending from the ceiling, huh? Not that I’m really complaining, because it did look cool-but what are they trying to tell us? That they are angels? Hmmmm…
- Great performances! I think the Supreme Team+Hongki collab was great-I was glad to see a joint stage!!
- I think award shows are much more interesting when the powerhouses that are Girls’ Generation and Super Junior are in the house-jeeze-you could tell just by the screaming fans.
- I think award shows are a little less interesting when YGE isn’t representing…they bring an element of wonder because it seems I’m always wondering what crazy thing they will be wearing or what scandalous stage they’ll do…
- I’d like to keep all the SUJU boys in plastic cages…thanks for the weird fetish image Golden Disk Awards.
- I think I am happiest for 2AM’s wins- they always seem like underdogs to me at these things even though they always perform amazingly…I’m glad they are getting the recognition they deserve!
- HIGH FIVE to my girl BoA for showing all the idols that she still has it. And all on her own.
- I have to applaud the Soshi girls…I mean, COME ON. They aren’t $N$D for nothing! Those girls can-and did!-sell everything. Congrats to them for winning the night’s biggest award-they’ve come a long way since their debut, and they should be so proud of their huge accomplishments in such a short amount of time! Now, if only Papa SM gave them a break every once in a while…
