Miss A is JYP’s new sexy group and the members include Fei, Jia, Suzy and Min. Many are saying they’re the next Wonder Girls and I’ve got some thoughts I’d like to vomit all over you all so sit back and enjoy my VLOG on Miss A.

    I do think that Miss A have taking alot of dance
    moves from CL -2ne1 leader –
    I think that JYP become so Jealous from YG
    cuz the Success that he had with 2ne1
    I don’t think that in Training years 4 miss A that
    was there theme !!
    I just watchd a performing 4 CL and IT was the same
    dance moves and there style and evrything
    there become femouse in like one monthe
    and the koren Media become so Obsessed about them !!
    and in the other side
    4minute spend like 2 years trying to Success
    and become femouse , but they didn’t become that Popular !!! :s
    JYP Is So not fair with his bands !!

      Actually come to think of it, the styles of a lot of the girlgroups around are more or less similar.

      And 4min are under Cube Ent, not JYP. And blaming JYP for 4min’s lack of success (which I don’t think so) is just cannot be understood.

    K-pop has become way too generic and overhyped within the past year (I think the 2009 new group explosion made the genre take a turn for the worse) that artists need to be poppin’ everywhere and having seizures on stage and have technicolor hair to be considered “fierce” or “interesting”.

    Nothing but respect to miss A, really. They are such talented young women, but, honestly? The Wonder Girls did not get to where they are by being average or less than any rookie on the scene right now. You cannot ever dismiss the Wonder Girls into any one category–they are strong (Irony), cute (Tell Me), sexy (So Hot), classy (Nobody), funky (2 Different Tears) and so on. They have a diversified fanbase and were the first girl group since fink.l and SES 10 years before them to hold (sold out!) solo concerts.

    Trust me, WG do not need new K-pop fans with a 10-second attention span to validate them. They, much like Big Bang and other older K-pop acts, define “less is more” simply and beautifully. No trend-following needed. They’ve already set plenty of them.

      i agree with you…even though people say wonder girls are weak and everything…look at them and where they got in the past years…it shows that they are great.

      Now with miss A…i love them as well because i’m JYP Family biased. They are strong and fierce and all great singers and dacner. i think they are the same as wonder girls(except sohee, not that great of a singer) but the badass version. wonder girls are more of the classy and sophisticated group.

      so if i were to choose between these two…i’d pick wonder girls because i love their concept and have known them longer….but miss A is not far from them on my list either(probably second fav) and that’s something cuz i don’t usually notice rookie groups nowadays…i prefer the oldies.

      WG got lucky with 3 hit songs and that’s pretty much it. Talent wise they’re not half as good as the rookies today and no where near as good as Miss A.
      If you were to have both groups perform the same song, there’s no doubt that Miss A would outshine!

        Can’t imagine Miss A singing the hit songs of WG and pull it off. I completely agree that WG doesn’t have as much talent as some idols but not all rookies! You must have not listened to all their songs or known them enough to say that!

        They are only known for their hit songs and Sohee’s difficulties to sing but it doesn’t mean they have no talent. So far Ye Eun and Sun Ye (even though she’s sometimes rather weak lately on live) have great vocals and as for me, I think that SunMi would have had the capacities to greatly improve her singing. As for Yoo Bin, she’s the only female rapper with a deep voice among the other female idol rappers, not an outstanding rapper but rather refreshing to have this kind of voice. And Sohee… well pple should just stop hating her, it’s not as if she was singing the main parts of the songs.
        So far, I can’t tell apart Miss A’s member voices except Min’s.

        Trying to compare Miss A and WG isn’t as easy as you may think it is because they debuted at 2 different times when the industry was totally different. WG has a more cultural impact than an artistic one.

        Getting “lucky” with more than 2 hit songs is more than most idol groups that debuted nowadays can even dream of.

        You’re forgetting that one of those hits, Nobody, is a certified international smash sensation. It made Billboard chart history for crying out loud.

        Having to resort to hypotheticals for your argument (IF this, IF that) already indicates intellectual cowardice. Work with facts. You don’t have any? Then best to not say anything at all.

    I saw both in a group concert (along with MBLAQ and 2PM and JYP), and keep in mind I didn’t like MissA at all before this concert. Wonder Girls’ dance moves were decent but had little power behind it, and they were dropping ENTIRE LINES from faster songs like “So Hot” and “Tell Me”, which aren’t vocally demanding songs to begin with. I was really disappointed with their performance. They also had awkward interactions with the audience.
    MissA, on the other hand, were fierce and interacted with the crowd very naturally, even teaching us the moves to their song. Their vocals were very good, and the dancing was superb.
    All in all, I agree that Miss A is a LOT better than WG

      they’re just new and fresh. that’s about it. they’re not in anyone of the sunbae’s league, let alone wg.

      You do realize that Wonder Girls are more or less promoting in 4 or 5 countries at once? This recent jet lag and fatigue WILL carry over to the less-important performances. That live you were talking about had WG as only a small subset of a much larger lineup. I dare you to go to one of the concerts in their headlining tour and say the same thing. Just YouTube Ye Eun singing “Mercy” or any of the rest of the perfs from that tour.

      And awkward? Please. They have 3.5 years of stage experience.

      Making decisions based on one performance doesn’t reflect well on your judgment.

    This is like comparing SNSD to f(x). WG being SNSD and f(x) being miss A. You can’t really compared them because the success of one group is in a totally differet level. I mean, come on, WG made it onto the U.S. Billboard charts, you can’t ignore that!

    miss A needs just a little more experience and time before they can really go up against WG without all this ‘orginals = best’ business. Personally, I like miss A better, but that doesn’t change the fact that WG are simply superior.

    miss A are still rookies, WG has a strong international fanbase and international success. Give it time.

    Both groups are good. I like Miss A for “bad girl/Good girl” but the pop songs have to stop. Hopefully, WG does their thing right. That’s all JYP has really. Even if Miss A works out, JY will be for WG. Not Miss A.

    Ugh… Why is that even being questioned? THEY’RE IN THE SAME COMPANY! Well family/sub-family or whatever… Either way, they’re all representatives of JYP.

    One thing about JYP: He won’t bring in a singer/group that he doesn’t think is good, unless they show that they at least have potential to be halfway decent and not just a flash in the pan for 5 minutes. Meaning: if 4Minute, Miss A, WG, etc. etc. were able to get in with whatever new group that shows up: they had to have been good to get in in the first place. The argument of so-and-so is better than so-and-so is moot, esp. since it’s all run by one individual as opposed to 3-4 different individuals. JYP vs YG vs SM vs Nega vs DSP would make more sense cause they all have different styles of production, genres, and promotion.

    I like all of them (well, I don’t listen to DSP artists to really have an opinion) for different reasons, and some are better at certain things than others. If you want music that sounds more dated and old school: JYP. If you want hip hop and r&b: YG. If you want top 40 contemporary with no definable genre: SM. If you want electro-pop and dance music: Nega. Are they better than one another? Not necessarily (unless you’re the type who yells: ‘Well so-and-so sold X amount of copies of blablabla! So-and-so only sold X amount compared to them!’). It’s all about preference.

    Miss A doesn’t have the amount of material that Wonder Girls have as far as dance tracks, mid-tempos, and ballads so it’s not fair to compare them anyway. It’s like trying to compare Bom’s one mid-tempo solo to BoA’s dozens upon dozens of mid-tempos. It can’t be done and still be a solid argument over who’s better, so therefore, it shouldn’t be done at all.

    Can anyone explain why….all k-pop female groups dance like they are cheerleaders or in a highschool dance squad? (Youtube dance/cheerleading squad if you don’t know what I mean) E-v-e-r-y single female k-pop group has this cheerleader/marching choreography. Oh and let’s not for get the runway model walk, the shhhhhhh finger, the wannabe tango knee kick, and so many to mention….ooh ooh the talk to the hand motion…

    everybody’s jumping the gun already. to be honest, i don’t see anything interesting about miss a, except suzy. idols. they’re just a bunch of fresh faces with the same cutesy moves as the old school groups. what kind of dance and vocal talent do you see in i can’t breathe choreography? that’s right, just a differnt choreography.

    a lot of people don’t understand that the word popularity doesn’t always equae to talent. not saying miss a has no talent..but simply put, miss is another overrated and overhyped idol group. they still got tons of sacks of ramen to eat before they get up there.

    if any of the girls from miss a can beat minzy of 2ne1 in a dance battle, i would give miss a A+ for dance talent. if any of the girls beat davichi, taeyeon, or park bom in vocals, then i’d declare myself an official miss a “asskisser”. lol.

    Give me a break.
    Listen to every Korean female group lyrics and its all garbage. Nothing but emotional basket cases crying about hook ups and break ups with shitty bravado(meaning 2NE1, CL raps a lot of gibberish). That’s not female empowerment but stupidity. Its just about how they do it makes one more popular than the other. Miss A isn’t bad and neither are the Wonder Girls. Fit perfectly in a scene full of absent minded self indulging music.

    They are two different types of musical groups. I won’t talk down about Miss A because well they are fiercely talented and deserve all the success that will come their way.

    With Wonder Girls I think they helped pave the way for all these new rookie groups. Wonder Girls and SNSD were promoting back when it was a total sausage fest and they were holding their own. All these rookies haven’t even achieved half the honors, recognition, and awards that Wonder Girls have. They’re running in the big leagues with bigger artist.

    Have any of the new groups really made that big of an impact? ( 2NE1 isnt a new group) No…not really…they’re a dime a dozen now? They’re popular yes but idols now a days are more trendy than heart felt.

    Do you even have to ask? YES, Miss A is better!
    The delusional wonderfuls can deny it to death, but it’s the truth! And no, they are not really two different types of musical groups. Miss A is just a level above WG with their music and dances. They’re not the typical easy beat, easy dance routines that WG have. Miss can easily do justice to any of WG’s songs, whereas WG would be a disaster with “BGGG” and “Breathe”.
