Lee Hong Ki will not forfeit F.T Island
When news broke of Lee Hong Ki’s participation in SBS drama “You’re Beautiful (미남이시네요)”, Primadonnas felt their feathers ruffle with fears of F.T Island’s main man having potentially conflictive schedules. A premature debate was even floating around, about Hongki’s future plans with the band.
With fangirls going crazy – and I expect, about to pounce on the group’s management – someone had to come out and say something before things went out of hand, as we’ve seen in the past few weeks. On that, F.T Island’s label F&C Music has since quashed rumors and also announced plans for the band to do a nationwide tour at the end of the year.
Meanwhile, since our last coverage on “You’re Beautiful”, there’ve been updates on the cast and plot-lines. Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Lee Hong Ki, Jung Yong Hwa and UEE make up the main actors where Jang and Lee play Tae Kyung and On Yu who’re looking for a fill-in member in Park Shin Hye’s Mi Nyu. Together they make up fictional co-ed idol group A.N.JELL. Hong Ki in particular plays an English-Korean kid from a well-to-do family. It’ll be interesting to see how he pulls of that aura and accent. The drama’s main characters are embroiled in matters of the heart on top of bringing to the screen what we don’t often see with stars in-the-making.

And I love Park Shin Hye! I like her new haircut — she kinda looks like Eunhye on the vid, especially during the time she bows after introducing herself.. or am the only one who thinks that? XD
It’s so funny how everyone screamed after the others finished introducing themselves but as soon as Hongki got the mike they just started :)
I find it weird that they would cast Hong Gi and not cast him as a vocalist but a drummer…and let JGS take vocalist O_O But oh well~
I won’t be surprise if Hongki will also give a priority to his acting career after all that’s what got him in the entertainment biz. Magic Kid Masuri fan, anyone?
I like the concept that he’s a drummer in the drama, not a vocalist. At least it’s different from what I always see. Typecasting is boring. ^_^
