Seoul International Drama Awards 2009
The complete list of winners are not out on the official site yet, but here is the uncomplete list of the winners from the 2009 Seoul International Drama Awards (sorry, I missed the live airing of the ceremony because I fell asleep). For the drama section, there is a “Best” and “Excellent” winner in each of the three categories and also one “Grand Prix” prize out of all the dramas. The following list has a winner, but it’s uncertain which of “Best” and ”Excellent” the winners belong to (except for Series Drama)…

Writer: Marc Didden (Belgium) for ‘The Emperor of Taste’
Actor: Akira Kume (Japan) for ‘The Shopping Trip’
Actress: Cristine Reyes Klenk (Philippines) for ‘Eva Fonda’

Go Eun Ah shows off her goodies and looks like she’s wearing a cape.
Park Jae Jung sports two current favorites among men: smudge of mustache on lip and bow-tie. He looks dashing though (what man in a nice fitted suit doesn’t?)
I can’t even get past Park Han Byul’s 3rd and 4th arms legs to comment on her fashion.
Is it me or does Choi Jung Won look like Park Han Byul’s twin? Maybe their looks are man-made…made from the same man! (dun dun dun!)
Oh Man Seuk is one gray jacket away from dressing like Pee-wee Herman. But the man’s face looks sweet as always.
I don’t understand the lacy outer layer of Moon Geun Young’s dress. It’s like her dress is dressed to go to a funeral.
‘Time Between Dog and Wolf’ co-stars, Lee Jun Ki and Nam Sang Mi, are looking great. Even in black, Nam Sang Mi has a very nice “glow” to her. The dress cuts in all the right places although there’s an odd shoulder piece on her left.
The MCs for the evening. I only recognize Choi Su-jong in the middle who I can’t believe is about to hit 47. The dress on the right is a perfect example of the miracles of a belt (love the color of the dress by the way).
For some reason, I don’t like boys with their pant legs tucked in boots. T-Max performed this year’s most overplayed song in a drama at the ceremony. Sing it with me, “Almost paradise…”
Also performing was Triple S (3/5 of ss501) of their hit ‘U R Man’. They accepted Kim Hyun Joong’s Popularity Award on behalf of the leader, who couldn’t attend of course because of the swine flu.

I apologize for the lack of fashion critique but nothing much really stood out. But don’t let me have the last say, which of the fashion was your favorite/least favorite?

even though she annoys the hell out of me i have to say congratulations to cristine reyes. and seoul beats there is no “klenk” in her name. eve fonda is crap!
cristine reyes ‘klenk is her mom’s last name’ is a good actress, i mean for a 20 year old. She’ll improve, but i don’t think she won best actress. I didn’t watch Eva Fonda but congratulations to that show. I hate to say this but cristine looked the most beautiful that night; Nam Sang Mi was very radiant as well.
“Cristine Reyes Klenk” was what i found on the official site. sorry i’m not very familiar with Philippines actors.
I like Park Han Byul, Nam Sang Mi and Taeyeon’s dresses, they looked good. I really like Taeyeon’s though cuz it was cute but simple.
SS501 was lackluster, looked like they were missing something. Oh yeah Hyunnie!
kim hyun joong totally doesnt deserve best actor award because he totally can’t act, he just has a “pretty face” that garners him so many fans to vote for him, it is not that he can act, it is the producers of boys before flowers that gave him a chance to act in a drama and allowed him to attract fangirls from all over asia.
Even Lee Min Ho can act so much better than him, no offence, but he just really doesn’t deserve this award. He can receieve the most popular actor award but totally, not this. This award clearly states that it is for “Best Actor”. Is he? No way.

I believe in the equality and freedom of expression so we’re all entitle to say what we feel…..I just have this to say…whoever doesn’t agree that Kim Hyun Joong doesn’t deserve the right to be voted the best actor for the recent seoul international drama awards doesn’t understand the concept of pool voting…this means to support an actor/person is you have to log your vote in the internet,if you don’t agree with the outcome,then you could have done your share,which is, you could have voted everyday in the internet to have your bet actor gain that pretigious award rather than sulk and say your piece….me i haven’t even voted but i don’t agree with what you’ve just said.
You’re in no position to judge who is more better,it was a pool vote and the difference between the two guys was not a margin of thousands,we’re saying here millions, so if you don’t agree with the millions of people who saw the potential in kim hyun joong then it’s basically also implying you’re considering those who have voted for that guy…less sensible and dumB?! Common’ let’s be openminded….never talk ill,about anybody.
I love both of them,lee min ho and kim hyun joong equally but i couldn’t take what you’ve just stated…..so better keep it to your self and say something more objective instead,believe me,this is responsible journalism,never dwell on the negatives.
