There is such a thing as TOO MUCH AUTOTUNE!
Son Dambi and After School “teamed up” for a little Samsung product placement and frankly, I WISH THEY HADN’T. Don’t get me wrong, I love After School (5 of them at least), but 1 minute into this video and my head was pounding. The seizure inducing acid trip that is “Amoled” has just been released and the room won’t stop spinning (literally!). Of course since Son Dambi is the golden sponsor for Samsung, she is the star of the video, which makes After School the backup dancers I guess.
I am officially starting a petition to end the use of Autotune in Korea. It worked for the BEG video but please STOP THE MADNESS!!! Who will join me?

After school does end up looking like back up dancers for Son Dambi. To bad cause I think Ga Hee is a better dancer and has better stage presence. I know Son Dambi is supposed to the sexy dancing queen but I still do not get all the hype.

this is just a commercial, but dang! i’m sick anf tired of all the songs sounding the same…the beginning of this song reminded me of one of Son Dambi’s song (don’t remember title)… thank you kpop for becoming even less original.

I’m not feeling it. Son Dambi is okay-yeah, she’s got the looks but isn’t the best singer. I think she’s kind of overrated! I do like her songs though but I’m not crazy about her.
Lots of composer wannabe rely on autotune. That’s why it’s still alive in Korea.
Must Dambi’s voice always be super synthesized? I’m just not feeling this song……
Autotune was in the U.S for awhile but was only used by (well, mainly) T-Pain. When it started to catch on (it almost killed music in the US) T-Pain made/was featured in a song where at the end of it said “AUTONE IS DEAD/OUT”.
When the *KING* of Autotune (atleast in the US) said it was “out” (becuase it was being overdone), I think Korea should take the hint as well.
I love K-Pop but sometimes their music can be overkill. A little bit of something is good, but too much and people get tired of it.
I think K-Pop is mainly about making the Top 40, not about starting a fad or making you sound different form the others. i think that’s why the 30sec rap, poor English, and autotune formula is being played out so much.

Why is Son dambi even popular? She can’t sing and has zero personality. Watching her is like watching paint dry.
I’d totally sign the petition. The only part of the video/song that I don’t mind is Beka’s rap. And I really don’t see what the big fuss over Son Dambi is either. She’s pretty, but that’s about it. She’s known for dancing, but Gahee is way better ^^’.
